Jon Gosselin Wants To Apologize And Attend Counseling

We're not sure if any amount of counseling or apologies will get you out of this hole you've dug yourself into!
Jon Gosselin is telling the world that he is seeking counseling under the wing of Rabbi Michael Shmuley. You know, the one that released those Michael Jackson tapes?
Gosselin says:
"I further accept that I have allowed myself to become somewhat severed from my own moral anchor and be carried away by the challenges of fame. It is for this reason that I have endeavored of late to reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self with regular study sessions and counseling.
I have always endeavored to be a loving father and a devoted parent who serves as a moral exemplar to his eight children…My father was my inspiration and moral compass. I intend to serve the same role for my own children by taking responsibility for my errors and making right any pain I have caused to those I love."
In an attempt to right his wrongs, Jon is going to publicly apologize at New York's West Side Synagogue this coming Sunday to the people he has hurt, which makes perfect sense - except he's NOT Jewish! What is his deal with Judaism? Didn't he already say he wasn't converting?
If this isn't the biggest BS publicity stunt we've ever seen, we don't know what is!
Jon sayss:
"It is my sincere desire to use the fame I have so unexpectedly acquired to highlight mature, responsible behavior as well as the joys of fatherhood and family. I ask the public to please understand the challenges I face in living under constant public scrutiny, even as I am aware that I have at times courted that scrutiny. I am committed to making things right with Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself."
Apparently Jon's decision stems from the rumors of the reality show with the Octomom to which Jon responded:
"I am troubled to learn that the media has accepted as true the scurrilous rumor that I would appear in a reality television program with Nadya Suleman. This is utterly false. I do however accept that some of my previous actions have in some way lent credence to such outrageous stories."
Yeah, no shit!
And you know his publicist was writing this crap. Can you imagine the world "scurrilous" coming out of this douchebag's mouth? Please.

Why do celebrities use pseudo-Judaism? I don't get it. Why are Jews the only group to be hijacked for alterior motives in celebrity culture? Not saying Christians, Muslims and other faiths don't get jerked around, but why do celebrities seem to lean towards pseudo-Judaism?

Not a word of this came out of Jon's mouth. Celebs need to know something very IMPORTANT. There is a huge difference between FAMOUS and INFAMOUS. Yes Jon, that means you….and Spencer/Heidi…and any ex-wife/whore of any celebrity…. and Ga Ga… and of course Perez…. among others. Take the test… ask yourself 'does this person have any noted talent?'…. if the answer is NO then they are not famous, they are INFAMOUS…. known simply for being known.

He's always been a great father! MUCH more patient than Khate! NOW you'd NEVER hear KHATE admitting any fault when this, in all actuality, was ALL HER FAULT! She told him to leave that it was over, and cut him down for years! I think he's awesome for saying what he said! It was also KHATES idea to do this show because year after year it was on the show! He NEVER wanted the fame!

Trust me, Jewish or not, the main thing you need to get by in Hollywood is a ginormous ego and a serious lack of reality. That, my friend, is available to anyone. He worked with many huge names of all religions, and the bottom line is he left b/c they were all nuts.
Re: LauraLou – He is CLEARLY showing the world how he doesn't want the fame….LauraLou, I am no fan of either…but there is one parent acting in a way that my kids see every time they see a magazine cover or a tv promo, and they cringe and tell me how gross he is. There is another parent that stays out of the limelight and doesn't set herself up with all these moronic behaviors. If my kids can sort out who the nut is, I think it's pretty simple for anyone to see. Certainly Kate acted downright cringeworthy at times. but again, as a parent, sometimes under stree, you just don't act the way you want to. I have acted like a headache at times, but I apologize and try and do better…same with my guy. All you can do is try and act your best and try and improve….(or apologize and have a good dinner waiting! ha)

Another attempt at capturing the media eye, otherwise he would choose a spiritual counselor less infamous. His publicist should make an effort to, at least, sound a bit like him. I'm sure it didn't occur to him to spend some time in counseling and religious classes (in his own faith) and THEN apologize to Kate IN PRIVATE. This is about as "heartfelt" as his last joke of a "desire to apologize." My guess is the truth is that Jon is finally cluing in to the fact that people hate him and he can't continue to bring in money as a fame whore if everyone hates him. He won't be able to put his douche light under a basket for too long, though.
