Let's Get Married - Again!

Only if your last name is Trump can you get away with having two receptions for the same wedding.
Days after the actual nuptials and original reception, Ivanka Trump and her new husband, businessman Jared Kushner, celebrated their marriage all over again with a traditional Jewish Sheva Brachot on Wednesday night. (It's basically just another big party accompanied by food, but it is an important wedding blessing in Judaism.)
Guests enjoyed an "incredible" variety of kosher food, explained one guest, and an elaborate dessert buffet that included candy, chocolate cakes, raspberry sorbet on sticks and brownies.
As for the blushing bride, guests said she looked "stunning" in an elegant champagne-colored, floor-length gown while dancing to Beatles music and spending time with her new family, as well as her parents. Both Donald and Ivana Trump attended the party and had only wonderful things to say about the Kushner clan. Ivana said that the evening was "fabulous and very elegant. A beautiful event for the young couple."
Now, it's off to Africa for the honeymoon!

she not really jewish.i would never convert for any body..ivanka is lacking spirtuiality prob had no god background look at her parents.it's all about money and success in that family,sad.

Great couple! Ivanka is cool, smart, pretty & classy… everything her mom isn't.
BRe: cali kitty – She is Jewish. She converted to Judaism in July with the guide of several Orthodox Rabbis (this is an accelerated 12 month process). Few knew that they had been secretly engaged for a while but the groom was adamant that she convert to Judaism ONLY by an Orthodox Rabbi before getting married.

Re: Bushwack – She must have some Jewish ancestry because Orthodox Rabbis are not into the whole conversion thing. Even when I was in the process of converting with a Reform Rabbi, he told me a joke/story about how a Rabbi is supposed to deny a potential convert three times when they ask to convert before they accept them as a student
One of the many thing I like about Judaism is that it is a religion that does not proselytize unlike so many others.

They DID NOT have a second reception. Sheva Brachot are seven meals, usually dinners, hosted by family or friends, that happen over the week after the wedding. They are in NO WAY as elaborate as a wedding reception.
Why is he walking in front of her? Can they hold hands at least for crying out loud, did they just got married yesterday? No PDA at all? Is that a Jewish thing?
