More Vampires!

Really people! We think we've had our fill of fangs!

The SyFy Network is jumping on the bloodsucking vamp-wagon and announced they are picking up a new series already popular in England.

Being Human follows three roommates as they "help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives." One roomie just happens to vampire, while the other is a werewolf, and the last is ghost!

We just sensed a collective eye-roll from every TV viewer in America. We share the sentiment.

Watch for this supernatural snoozefest to hit the TV schedules next fall.

      Its actually a really good show and only has a six episode season. the character development is great and the acting is a actually good. Syfy made the right choice by playing this show

      Hey guys, I watched this series when it was on in England and I loved it!! It's not full of misty eyed barbie dolls, thank god!! It's funny, shocking in some places and touching too. Definately give it a chance!! x

      Perez, this series has already aired on BBC America. Syfy usually picks up British imports such as Doctor Who and the Sarah Jane Adventures. Picking up this series wasn't so unexpected.

      I really love this show! The characters are very endearing and the plot is pretty good! It's actually a lot better than The Vampire Diaries…

Being human is absolutely incredible, it got a massive cult following over here and rightly so….it was a refreshing change to see something ORIGINAL rather than chewing up a shit novel and throwing it out on the screen which is what you americans seem to love doing… check it out, it might surprise you. Wait a minute….wasnt it already aired on BBC America in july?

      Wow, don't hate it until you've seen it Perez. I caught the show on BBC America and got hooked! It flawlessly mixes the dark subjects of the show with dry British humor. It really is worth your time and the vampire character is easy on the eyes, so don't knock it until you tried it.

      Hey, fuck you, Perez. The world doesn't begin and fucking end with Twilight. Being Human is a sublime show. It's got fuck all to do with the sublime SHIT that is Twilight. It's actually a charming, subtle, hilarious and often touching show that also involves a GHOST and a WEREWOLF. There's no jumping on bandwagons here- it's about six worlds away from the concept of Twilight or any of the other overrated vampire-crap shows in America right now. To be fair though, you probably wouldn't enjoy it- it's actually somewhat clever. Not full of 'pretty boys' like Robert fucking Pattinson. If you want sexy, then look no further than Aidan Turner. Oh Christ, he could get in me ANY day. Ugh. I hate the fact that I just had to right an essay to defend Being Human.. Perez, you're a twat. And shuuuut the FUCK up about Twilight. No one (in their right mind) cares.

If you actually did some research and maybe checked out an episode or even read some reviews from the UK then you'd know that this whole article is actually a load of crap. You did this last week, slagging off Robbie for getting the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the Brits next year. If you had even a small clue to what goes on in British pop culture and our entertainment business then you'd also know that Robbie is a VERY worth recipient of that Brit.       Its a really god show!
      Plus the vamp in its actually hot and more importantly doesn't sparkle!
      Full of good dry humour and also touches on some darker subjects.

      It really is a great show. Its not Twilight. Its not even close. And its not trying to be. Its not necessarily a show for teenagers. Its not something that the WB would air after an episode of Melrose Place. Its gritty and very very smartly written and full of humor and heart. If you like this kind of thing, I'd strongly recommend giving it a try and ignoring Perez comments on a show he hasn't even tried to watch yet…

      Having aired in the US on BBC America, Being Human, this well written and acted show, has already gathered a following. The eye-rolling belongs to "Twilight", especially the scene where our "stellar" heroine sees her love interest vampire in science class while the fan is blowing her hair from behind…..I have never laughed so much in a movie theater.

      If it is a comedy then it will be different from the mainstream right now. I think if it could be like that show "Reaper", which is hilarious, then it would be a success. TrueBlood already has the syfy, egdey, hawtness down! GOD I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!

It was on BBC America, like ppl have said before me, and I think it has a nice, campy feel that Buffy sometimes had. :) You will really get into the characters and care about them pretty fast. MUCH more realistic than Twilight and nice story lines as well! I can't wait for new episodes! :D

      Check out BBC America. Many shows on SyFy is picked up is an old season produced by the BBC. The storyline is not based on a teen book, and is much better written.

      Oh Perez… I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see the show. One of the guys is quite the looker and the show isn't as stupid as it sounds. Infact it's quite good. You should watch it.

      I really enjoyed this show back when it aired - well before that insipid Vampire Diaries and its ilk first came about. It really built up to a great season finale. Im gladto hear theyre doing a second season of it and that BBC America might air it when its done. Also excellent was Blood Ties on Lifetime, which predated Twilight (althogh I think they cancelled it). It took a few episodes to get its grounding, but then proved to be intelligent, intriguing, and humorous. Both had far more interesting characters and actors than this overwrought and overly dramatic/humorless Hollywood Twilight franchise.

      Ever since I saw the Pilot back in 2008, I've been obsessed with this show. Yea vampires are everywhere at the moment but the show doesn't just focus on the vampires. I know the concept of the show sounds a bit corny 'A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost try and live a normal life in Bristol' but with the writers and the cast, it really makes for great viewing. Twilight never actually crossed my mind when I watched it. Can't wait for series 2 to hit Britain!

      This is actually a DAMN GOOD show. You would probably dig the vampire hardcore- Aiden Turner is such a SEXY hunk of an Irish man. I hate Twilight and most of the new vamp shows out there now because they're crap (love True Blood though), but this show is freakin' hilarious and smart. It's gooooood.
