Really people! We think we've had our fill of fangs!
The SyFy Network is jumping on the bloodsucking vamp-wagon and announced they are picking up a new series already popular in England.
Being Human follows three roommates as they "help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives." One roomie just happens to vampire, while the other is a werewolf, and the last is ghost!
We just sensed a collective eye-roll from every TV viewer in America. We share the sentiment.
Watch for this supernatural snoozefest to hit the TV schedules next fall.

Someone needs to pick up the Morganville Vampire books and make that into a series or movies - they are so freakin' good! They would be perfect on the big screen or small screen.

it's actually really good, i'm english and watched it when it was on, it's not like all the other vampire crap that's about, it's just a regular drama really that happens to have a vamp, a werewolf and a ghost. but it's good, give it a chance before you slam it, besides, you love the vamp stuff yourself anyway perez.

Being Human is great. Twilight is not. I read New Moon the other day to see what all the fuss was about. Man, was i sorry to have wasted my time. The Bella character is a wet, drippy fart who needs a slap.
But hey! millions of teenage girls wet their pants over that shit - leave 'em to it.

Wow, you are really off the mark on this one, the BBC series "Being Human" is BRILLIANT and FAR better than Twilight. Leaps, bounds better than Twilight.
"Being Human" is dark and fun and has brilliant writing.
The biggest worry is the fact that SyFy is making an "Americanized" version which is almost always a failure.
Don't judge till you've seen it, Perez. "Being Human" is a great show. Check it out - with the first season being only 6 episodes, you've nothing to lose by checking it out.

I agree with the majority of the commenters! I loved Being Human! I live in Canada and watched it online and found it to be funny and charming with a great dark undertone. And I watched it a good year before i had even heard of twilight and if twilight is the reason for this great show being revived and brought to mainstream North America then I have no problem with that. I have to say I am a little disappointed that people are starting to judge this great show already just because they don't like the "vampire craze". Give it a chance it may suprise even the most skeptical of you!

Being Human is a great show. Far better than it sounds from the basic premise. It's defintely worth watching.
The original pilot actually aired a long time before Twilight and the other vampire crap. It's a good show. Russel Tovey is excellent in it.
this show was broadcast in england before twilight became popular,was it not?its a gurd show.youre justy bored of the theme, and unfortunatly, this was picked up at the wrong time. but dont diss it for that perez.
This show is amazing, and it was shown in january 09 but piloted in feb 08 so not really jumping on the bandwagon is it? It's a great show and not just fairy tale and all perfect vampires it's actually got some depth. Can't wait for second series to hit UK
and they've already filmed the second series - I live in the city they film it in and they've finished it now and from what I saw whilst waiting for them to open the roads/paths it's gonna be just as good if not better! Give it a chance Perez

as someone above me mentioned, this first aired in feb 2008 - so hardly copying the "vampire trend". it was actually a fantastic show, a lot better than twilight, and even better than true blood (which i do love). sometimes it's a good idea to check these things out before rubbishing them i think.

Its already been played on BBC America, a bit slow to start but worth sticking with. Think I saw a clip for season 2 coming to BBC America

it's actually a good show & was piloted before all the vampire hype!

I watched it when it was on in the uk, and it is actually really worth watching. its only 6 one-hour long episodes, so its not a permanent fixture, and its different. its entertaining.
i watched the 6 episodes aired on BBC America, and was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. certainly better than Twilight, but i still like True Blood the best. still and all, i'm looking forward to the next season of Being Human.

perez, when did u become such a close-minded judgemental asshole! i saw the series on bbc america and it was wonderful, from the writing, production values, to the acting. great interesting show-btw in production B4 Twilight.

this is absolutely not a snoozefest. It's actually a pretty damn good show. It's a helluva lot better than freacking "Twat-light". It's funny, it's spooky, sex is involved and it's BETTER THAN TWILIGHT!!!!
This series is actually really brilliant, excellent casting and great plotlines, better than true blood and the Irish vampire guy is so unbelievably hot…. it's definately a must watch….
