New Avatar Trailer

The anticipation is running high for the December release of director James Cameron's new flick Avatar, but many people have been in the dark as to what the movie is all about.

Yahoo! Movies has posted a new 3.5 minute trailer which should set some light on the premise of the big-budget film!

Thoughts???

      I like me some sci-fi, but I can't seem to warm to the idea of this film.

      didn't he do aquaman. i think i remember him making aquaman, but he made him look like big a queer. i don't really know what aquaman was like, he's so underground. i don't think they ever showed his cartoon on the tube. and too bad after that season of movies i lost interest even though it seemed like everyone is soo into it.

      This looks like a really, really expensive "Fern Gully."
      Never invest in CGI, Cameron. The instant it's released, it looks dated.

      the characters are beautiful - I'll definitely give it a shot in theaters, hopefully the story line holds up!

      Hmm… Interesting metaphor for the history of American greed. Hopefully it will not be as cheesy as it looks. The storyline certainly has potential as long as they did not get to caught up in the special effects and over-acting.

      i saw 10 minutes of this, unfinished, a few months ago. the 3-D is mind-blowing. i hope the story is OK. i'll be there on opening weekend.

      yea when i saw the trailer i thought iraq too. or just imperialistic force taking little people. played out, rather watch the hurt locker any day. that's an epic movie

      So are the blue indigenous people supposed to allegorically represent 1800's Native Americans / Australian Aboriginals or are they present day Iraqi's? Interesting…

      I saw the trailer yesterday when i was waiting to see THIS IS IT….it actually looks really really good, I think I may actually check it out

      This should have been done with special effects similar to the Lord of the Ring, but it seems Cameron wanted something more like a cartoon. I don't think this will be as big of hit as some people expect it to be. The story seems like it might be somewhat interesting but the special effects have made me disinterested.

      I saw the trailer yesterday in the cinema before Michael Jackson's This Is It and it looked really good!

      Surprisingly, to me, this movie looks pretty good.
      I'm at least gonna give it a try.. and it's weird, ’cause I'm not even into movies like this at all.
      I love Titanic. Haha, and this movie is obviously the complete opposite of that.
      But James Cameron. Love him. I'm definitely watching. (:

      Cameron wrote this movie about 15 years ago, before he did Titanic. The entire world is CGI produced by the same guys that did Lord of the Rings(Weta Workshop). From what I've heard the movie was made for IMAX and uses a brand new 3D technology. I will be seeing it

      This is going to be a direct slap to the way our Military is treated and how ridiculous it is that we're STILL in Iraq! Good for James Cameron.
