Police Investigate Shot Fired At Lou Dobb's Home
How frightening!
Earlier this month, TV personality Lou Dobbs and his wife were standing outside their New Jersey home when a gun was fired at their home!
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but Lou took to his radio show to explain that he thinks this violent act against his family is in retaliation for his views regarding illegal immigrants and that this is an on-going assault.
It's no secret that Lou opposes leniency toward illegal immigrants in America, as he frequently discusses the issue on his CNN and radio shows. Lou explains that his opinions have angered people so much, he frequently receives threatening phone calls at his New Jersey home. However, he has never reported the incidents before, as he took it as part of the job.
But now that the violence has become more tangible, he has gotten the police involved. Furthermore, it seems very likely to everyone that the stunt was pulled by pro-immigration supporters. William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC), agreed that it's very likely Dobbs' outspokenness on illegal immigration led to the shooting:
"That shot, that attack on the Dobbs family is an attack on every American that values First Amendment rights. The chances are greatest that it was political, because pro-amnesty groups have tried to dehumanize Lou Dobbs and lie about him."
How scary to think that having an opinion is cause enough to provoke violence out of some people.
Does it mean people should stop having them or expressing them? NEVER!
We just need to crack down on those who would resort to violent means in order to silence those who are different from them.

So basically everyone should have an opinion. Even Prejean? Because you have said thousands of times that she shouldnt.
I am Native American and to me Lou Dobbs is basically an immigrant himself. In my opinion, along with most of my people, unless you are Native American in the US then you are an immigrant. Granted, you might have been born here as well as several generations before you but to me you are no different from these 'illegal' immigrants yourself. If they are not welcome here on MY land then you are not welcome here either!

Lou Dobbs doesn't have an opinion, he's downright RACIST and Xenophobic. I'm sorry but for every American citizen out of work the minute I see you in the fields picking crops, in front of the Home Depot waiting for a job on a construction site, cleaning a shitty toilet, bussing tables, washing dishes or wiping a babies dirty ass…that's when you can say there are no jobs in America…there are jobs in the United States….if I end up without a job one day you can bet that I will have no problem going down to some field to steal back a job that supposedly an immigrant stole from the U.S. worker…the way I see it is like this…If my parents worked all those ugly backbreaking jobs with no benefits no 2 10 to 15 minute breaks no whole hour lunch breaks, no 3 to 5 personal days off a year, no 3 to 5 weeks vacation every year no Human resource department, no unions, no sick days and absolutely no=HEALTH BENEFITS…I can too…even though I actually have a job that offers me what I just mentioned and I get the extra benefit of getting paid more because I'm bilingual…my parents where here legally but when you are new in this country and with no English speaking skills guess what jobs you take… the ones American born citizens would not even blink twice at because as American workers we demand more in return for our labor….

There is a HUGE difference between a stray hunter's bullet bouncing harmlessly off the side of your house and actually being the target being shot at. Am I the only one who thinks this is some made up shhh? If someone was really trying to get him I think they would by now…looks like he is just fueling the fire. I'm getting pretty sick of this whole 'we're all immigrants' crap justifying illegal aliens in their millions sneaking into this country like thieves in the night. He's telling it like it is: illegal immigrants are sucking this country dry. Let's think about this logically: we legalize baby daddy who'd supporting his baby making machine baby mama, and their 4, 5, 6 (and she's only 23) kids. So he's making minimum wage, we legalize them all, and then we're providing them all with welfare, food stamps, medicaid and educating their spawn at a cost of $7, 000 - $ 20, 000 per child per year. Really, Lou Dobbs is just speaking the truth. We need a guest worker program, not 10s of million of non English speaking, illiterate Mexican peasants. Yeah, and good luck with that whole amnesty thing. It's about as likely at Perez going straight.
I think this article needs to be updated. Apparently the NJ police said that there's a good possibility that this was a stray from the near by hunting area that Dobb's houses borders on. The bullet hit the side of the house near the top of the roof and bouced off the vinyl siding. Let me repeat VINYL SIDING stopped this bullet. Clearly the it was from such a great enough distance that it couldn't even dent plastic. Not the anatomy of a warning shot. Lou later stated that it was not hunitng season, that it couldn't be from that. But a quick check by a reporter found out that it was indeed hunting season at the time of that incident. So again, Lou is playing fast with the facts to garner sympathy.
Also, in the original police report Lou failed to tell them about the "threatening calls" at that time. That's not to say that he's never had any. But, Lou's claim of the calls was something he chose to announce on his radio program. He's trying to use a possible unrelated event to ignite the fire of contention. Everyone should take a logical rational step back, and assess the situation.

Lou Dobbs forgot to mention that that he lied about it being hunting season and that he lives very close to hunting zones. The police interviewed on this incident indicated that it would not surprise them if the shot had been fired by a hunter.
