Jake Gyllenhaal and Elmo pose together to promote the upcoming 40th season of Sesame Street!

A bunch of celebrities are going to appear on the show this year to celebrate in addition to Jakey including Cameron Diaz, Adam Sandler, Eva Longoria, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Hugh Jackman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Matthew Fox and Michelle Obama.

How lucky for the kiddies! We may have to tune in ourselves!

I remember when Sesame Street premiered. I watched the very first season, and was proud to raise my daughter to watch it too. That was way before Elmo, Zoe and Abby Cadabby. Good for Sesame Street for teaching kids for 40 years!

Jake needs to be made up before he looks good. True of so many movie people, male and female. When some cosmetics person hasn't worked on him, he looks pretty drab and unattractive. 'Cute' is almost always in the makeup.

Poor poor Jakey. Disaster awaits, I fear. The trailer for PofPersia is out and…it is vomitaceous. Atherton has a nauseating plummy British accent and Jakeypoo tries to keep up with a terribly fake British accent. It might be tolerable if you shut off the dialog and just watch the pictures, but who is going to do that? I smell a Jakeypoop-disaster coming. Poor poor Jakeypoop.
