Mr. Schuester Is Going Solo

There's been rumors of solo records from different members of the Glee cast, including Lea Michele. And, now Matthew Morrison has confirmed he'll be doing one of his own!
Describing the sound as Justin Timberlake meets Michael Buble, Morrison explains:
“Right now, I’ve almost finalized a record deal and am going to be working on an album. It’s going to be different…It’s going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats. I want to be like the next Gene Kelly. I want to kind of do it all. I want to have a career in movies, television, music and Broadway – but have them all be separate, their own entities."
Sounds good to us, but will Matthew be joining the Glee kids on their rumored summer 2010 tour?
“You probably know as much as I do about it. I just read about it online. I don’t think I’m going to be involved in that. Mr. Schuester likes to take his summer break.”

I won't buy the album just b/c he's on the show. But if the music is good & the songs are catchy then I might pick it up.
I love love love the show, but they really need to stop with all of this record deal, tour crap. People are going to burn out on the show before too long and get sick of hearing about it.

I like Glee a lot, but no, I won't buy any soundtracks or solo albums.
The show is funny, but the songs are not good enough to purchase .. nowhere near as good as any of the originals.

his songs are the worst ones on the show. All he ever does are early 90's rap songs….Lapuke….
I love the show. I like about half of the songs they've done. I've already bought the singles that I like, so I won't buy the album.
Sometimes in interviews I get the impression from him that he reeeeally doesn't want to be there or be doing the show; almost like he thinks he's above it. I dunno, I just may be reading too much into it.
I will definetly buy the album. Mr. Shoe is awesome, and so is Glee. Can't wait for November 11th!
