When I first heard the song, I thought it was OK, nothing spectacular. Now especially since I am from NY, they overplay this song too damn much and now I hate it. I have the original BP album BP2 Hardknock Life and other Jay Z albums but u yeah this one IMO is just mediocre. Alicia tries to push her voice here but she falls a lil short.

Great tune. I think when Jay-Z sat in with Phish for two shows in Brooklyn back in 2004, it absolutely rubbed off…. That said he is totally moving hip-hop BACK to instrumentals, which is impressive and I think Instrumentals are much needed again in music. Alicia Keys sounds amazing, again here you have two of the 'FEW' real talents in hip hop music culture. But Jay-Z you are not Frank Sinatra…..maybe in a neo modern way. LOVE the harvey keitel video! He is one of smarter rappers….H.O.V.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!
