Newsom Pulls Out

San Francisco's mayor, Gavin Newsom, has decided to withdraw from California's 2010 gubernatorial election.
Newsom released a statement on Friday saying, "With a young family and responsibilities at city hall, I have found it impossible to commit the time required to complete this effort the way it needs to be - and should be - done."
Too bad!
California state attorney general Jerry Brown is now considered the top democratic candidate to take over Arnold's position as California's governor.

Jerry Brown is a former governor of California. Doesn't look good to recycle politicians.
I've often thought Gavin Newsom is a closet homosexual, which would explain why he's been such a champion for Gay Rights in San Francisco. The new, young wife and rug rats are beards for his alternative lifestyle. MAYBE he doesn't want his true inclination to become public?
"Governor Moon Beam" a.k.a. Jerry Brown was a good leader back in the 70's and could be of benefit to the Golden State at the present time. California is on the very brink of financial ruin and needs someone who knows what they're doing to set it on the path to prosperity once again.

He's been visibly tired and stressed at press conferences. His wife just gave birth in September. And honestly, if you met his wife…you would realize he's not gay. It's impossible not to fall in love with her. Well, don't feel too bad for bad for him, at least his nights will be free to spend with her. She'll probably give birth again in nine months!
I hope California elects Meg Whitman its next governor. She has run so many companies(FTD florist, Hasbro, E-bay). She has not only balanced budget but made profit, created thousands of jobs, and knows why businesses are fleeing the anti-business legal climate of CA. She's in favor of improving our education system which ranks 49th in the country. Governor Moonbeam, I mean Jerry Brown, the current attorney general, is part of the crew that got us into this horrible mess we're in.
oh no! this is HORRIBLE news! I was totally hoping to vote him into office in 2010! Arnold has totally imperiled that state of CA! What are we going to do NOW?

This is really sad for me. I saw him give a speech in Santa Ana a few months ago. I think he would have been really good for our state. I am not passionate about anyone else running.
How could Gavin possibly have pulled out of the governor's race after getting the heavy weight endorsements of so many West Hollywood elected politicians??? After all, what more could he possible need to win…?? lol

Meg Whitman is more of Arnie, who has tried but been unable to accomplish anything constructive. Jerry Brown is familiar with California and the best hope to pull the state out of the current chaos.

What an empty suit this guy is, and he set gay marriage back at least a decade. He and the rest of San Francisco need to understand that they don't get to make up their own rules about illegals, drugs, foreign policy, etc. The last thing we need is that crazy old hack Jerry Brown back in office. A spokesman for Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown faces disciplinary action for surreptitiously recording telephone interviews with reporters, Brown's office announced Friday.
Scott Gerber, Brown's communications officer, was placed on administrative leave after the San Francisco Chronicle reported that he had taped a reporter's telephone interview with him and two others without informing her.
"Mr. Gerber's recording of certain telephone conversations was done without Atty. Gen. Brown's knowledge and in direct violation of explicit directions regarding office policy," the office said in a statement to the media. "These conversations were on the record and in no sense confidential. Nevertheless, the explicit agreement of all parties should have been obtained."

Newsom is a terrible mayor in SF. No one in SF or the whole bay area would vote for him. Thats the real reason why he pulled out. He finally figured out that there is no way to win! Its better this way, he screwed up sf lets not let him mess up Cali more than it is. I would rather have Brown than Newsom.
