A Los Angeles judge has granted Nicole Richie a temporary restraining order against paparazzo Bam Bam as well as his partner, Ivon Miguel.
The paps have been given the order to stay at least 100 yards away from Richie, as well as her kids Harlow and Sparrow, at all times.
According to legal docs filed by Nicole, the two paps would regularly "sit outside [her] house, waiting for [her] to leave," and "scream at [Richie] in an attempt to her [her] reaction," as well as chasing Richie in their car.
Nicole alleges that their abuse has caused her "severe emotional distress" and she fears that if the restraining order were to not be granted, another accident may happen, but "this time with [Richie's] infant children in the vehicle."
Seriously!
Nicole and the paps are due back in court on November 16th to decide whether or not to extend the restraining order.
We say yes!

nicole rox! As a mother myself, I know that tiger/bear instinct when it comes to protecting your brood. I am so glad she is taking action. I wish more celebs would fight back. Someone is going to get seriously dead if LA doesn't do something about this problem. It's not right. Those crazy paps appear out of no where, I've seen it first hand, it's very scary and invasive. It has to be illegal to take someone's photo and sell it. WTF?! I just don't understand how this is still going on…something needs to be done fast. It was so scary watching what happened with britney. It's just too weird.

Right, here is some truths: Nicole Ritche and others like her with no formal training in the arts, use the opportunity of birth, or family to achieve a level of opportunity denied to many talented people because, frankly, they are standing in the way. Nicole and Paris used the media, called the media, manipulated the media to KEEP their profiles in the public, it was necessary as it can be argued that neither woman has any talent. She thought nothing of degrading her children's personal right to privacy by parading their photos in every rag to keep up her profile. If she really wanted privacy, SHE WOULD BE PRIVATE, AND IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF THE MONEY FOR PHOTOS WENT TO CHARITY, AS IT IS THE CONCEPT OF PRIVACY IN DISCUSSION. Now she is harassed and followed by the same switch she turned on, well sorry Nicole, you need to take responsibility for your actions, funny now right, now that YOUR CHILDREN'S SAFETY IS NOW AT RISK YOUR VOCAL. Well done Nicole. TAKE your privacy back. In the Golden Days of Hollywood one actually had to have a card and belong to an honourable association to be allowed to publicly photograph and sell celebrity images. That way; the Hollywood elite were able to meet and greet their "artists of the lense" properly and received respect in turn. WHO else remembers this time? Respect for the profession of photographing and thus providing certified pictures to the press. IF a photo was leaked or tried to be sold outside of the association; well, not only would the star-power whomp them but the true photo-journalists would shun them also. For instance. There is a photograph on this site that purports to be of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr. On a boat. IT is not Orlando. I have seen Orlando without his shirt on before. THAT pig is Elijah Wood. I have not seen him with his shirt off but I have spent far too many hours with him not to be able to do an accredited "id" by photo. Poor Orlando. HE couldn't gain that much weight if he tried. Lord knows, I used to cook him three good meals a day plus snacks. He ate very well and I know HE couldn't look like THAT; wrong placement of adam's apple.
