That's some pretty grandiose praise!
Sting firmly believes that President Barack Obama is the best man to deal with the world's problems because he's "genuine, very present, clearly super-smart, and exactly what we need in the world…because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam."
The British singer is very interested in American politics and had some choice words about the conservative side and those against Obama:
"It's aggressive and violent and full of fear. They don't want change, they want things to feel the same because they feel safe there. My hope is that we can start talking about real issues and not caring about whether God cares about your hemline or your color. We are here to evolve as one family, and we can't be separate anymore."

First of all, what do liberals have against the Constitution and the values and ideals of our Founding Fathers? I'd rather not be counted into "one family". I refuse be a part of anything collective. And I believe in health care reform but NOT with a government option. I've believed this before hearing him, but intelligent economists like milton friedman said it creats an extremely unfair advantage for the private sector because (and this is so fucking obvious) government is the one that sets the regulation and tax policies (premiums as well for their own- thus probably undercutting them in some way) and funneling everyone eventually to a single payer option which goes against the beliefs of our founding fathers (i.e. adam smith who was a founding father and coined the concept of the "invisible hand" or free-market enterprise) and capitalism which allows ANYONE to rise above and improve their standard of living- which ANYONE can.
I can easily pull them up (not too hard to search for really if you want) of so many stories of people down in the slums coming up with a great new product that people demand at marketable prices and buying that nice house or car. In fact- the man who created peanut butter wasn't the richest of people who was also black also and look at that. How are we racist if the majority of America elected a FUCKING black president!? I actually did as well, but regret it (was my 1st time voting ever). I do like the new "rules" tho for what obama is doing on overdraft fees and the credit industry so suck it.
