WHAT was she thinking?????

Rihanna's second single, Wait Your Turn, has just hit the Internets and it is even WORSE than Russian Roulette.

We love RiRi - a lot - but we are hating hating hating this new music!

The two songs we've heard thus far do not bode well for her upcoming album, out later this month.

Seriously, WHAT was she thinking????

Wait Your Turn sounds cheap and poorly produced, not to mention annoying and lackluster.

To go from the monster that was her last album, Good Girl Gone Bad, to THIS shit - we just don't get it!

WTF????

Listen to Wait Your Turn below.

What do U think of the song????

Do U like Rihanna's second single, Wait Your Turn?

That blows, the album cover is nice though.

    2. 202

Re: Christie7926 – No it doesn't jackoff, this sucks at 7 different levels at least Lady Gaga can write herself a song that sucks to an amount where it can actually be on a billboard chart and people can play it on the radio with wanting to jump out of their cars.

    3. 203

this girl has never had any talent its funny you people are only just realising that obviously you all need your ears cleaned like rehab could have been a good song but girl cant sing go look it up before she got famous she sounded like a strangled cat its funny i liked her when she first came out but then she soldout and im no longer a fan she cant sing but when she did regea or whatever thats her voice so it suited her thats what happens to sellouts

    4. 204

its not the best song shes done but compared to the stuff in the charts atm, its not that bad

    5. 205

THIS SUCKS. WHATS WITH THE ROBOT VOICE WHEN SHE CAN ACTUALLY SING?? CRAP. NEXT.

    6. 206

Rhianna needs to go back in the studio and put some new tracks on her cd before releasing. They generally release the two best singles first with a total of three singles to radio. That means the first two singles are the best on the cd and if this is any indication she MUST go back and fix this album before releasing it and push back the release date.

    7. 207

really boring. 15 secs into it i lost interest and wasn't even listening to the words. i was more interested in martha stewarts halloween costume then this song.

    8. 208

looks like they're trying to push the grace jones vibe. thing is, rihanna doesn't have half the personality to even compete with her. she's dead behind the eyes. even her voice sounds like she can't be bothered to sing properly.

    9. 209

Re: JoDizzle – Of course they were…The Dream wrote Umbrella and Chris Brown was one of the 2 Disturbia writers. This chick has no talent other than being a pretty face. She is the "voice" & others are the ARTIST = FAIL.

    10. 210

      Ok heres is the thing!

GET RID OF THE CHOURUS AND THE BRIDGE! when she goes all high and random! its so gross!

i LOVEE the 'wait is ova' chant, and the VERSES! she is full getting so crunk in them, n then all of a sudden shes sounding all high and uplifting in the chourus?! i dont get it!

    11. 211

Re: amycakes86 – Amycake, that is exactly what I think about her. I was starting to think there was something wrong with me because the media seems to love her so I thought everyone else did. "Dead behind the eyes" - Right on. And singing like she can't be bothered…even better. It seems when she performs live she looks like she can't be bothered. Not a fan at all.

    12. 212

I know some die-hard Rihanna fans are going to dismiss me as a "hater" and make ignorant comments like "where's your record deal?". That's fine. So here's the thing: Rihanna should not be a recording/performing artist. She (which may be read "her record label") puts out albums so frantically that I can't believe people have yet to catch onto this. If you are putting out albums that close together…the chances are that you are trying to keep yourself relevant and you are not actually putting in the necessary time to develop as a person and an artist between albums. Rihanna needs to take the time to seriously develop her voice carefully-prepared-for voice lessons before she puts out another album. Her terrible vocal ability is always apparent…but it's far more obvious in her horrid ballads. She would also benefit from some strong music theory training so that she could learn to pen smash hits. It really isn't that hard to come up with catchy melodies and harmonies. The reason I believe Lady Gaga (for example) will be able to stand the test of time is that it's very clear that she is far more musically educated than almost any popular musician out there. Rihanna and the musically-challenged businessmen/-women at her label need to take a step back and give her the chance to possibly become a real artist. Otherwise….singles (and probably *albums*) of this caliber are destined to happen.

    13. 213

      Generic trash.

    14. 214

Just to preface, although we are fans of Queen B, we am not going to hate another artist simply because of that. We have liked almost all of Rih’s songs and We don’t hate her as a person; We don’t know her, and it’s unfair to attack someone personally when you don’t.

Moving on, although Rihanna is far from the best performer out there , her people usually make sure she comes with smashes (e.g. Umbrella, Take A Bow, Disturbia, S.O.S- which we didn’t like but was still a hit, and we knew it would be.) because they know she doesn’t have much else to fall back on. She has very little singing ability, though when she doesn’t belt notes she has a pretty nice sounding voice (once again, e.g. in Take A Bow), and cannot really dance (which is surprising as she’s Bajan, but whatever) but she almost always has great songs. 15. 215

      (cont…)

We agree with some of the above comments that in a recession, and especially at christmas when more people commit suicide than at any other time of the year, it’s not a good idea to release a song that contains connatations of suicide - no matter how metaphorical they may have been intended to be. The part before the final chorus sounds especially dubious, but let’s not go into that. The reason why feel good songs like ‘Down’ by Jay Sean and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ are doing so well this year is cause people need to be uplifted at a time like this.

And, while we were feeling the new ‘edgy’ Rhi of GGGB days (around, Umbrella), however contrived it may have been, it was ‘just dark enough’ - nice haircut, great clothes, new look. She wasn’t dark dark - Marilyn Manson dark, as she now seems to be. It’s not cool. (cont…)

    16. 216

      (cont…)

And the Wait Is Ova/ Wait Your Turn or whatever, while it may be slightly better than R.R, is still not the smash we were hoping for; it wouldn’t even have made the B side of Rehab, let alone the GGGB album. With production that sounds like it belongs to three songs rather than one, and Rhi’s weak deeper notes (although we’re feeling the Jamaican accent - the only acceptable part), this is nowhere near the standard of her previous efforts. And we doubt even her stans can say it’s up to it (and we’re not attacking anyone personally; that’s not how we do).

Regardless of the fact that it’s a rough cut, they’re not going to change the production entirely - which is what is required to make it alright.

If this song is a mediocre hit, it will only be (maybe) because of the interview she’s doing on 20/20 where she will ‘break her silence’ (and, please note, they cleverly don’t say she will ‘break her silence’ on the whole Chris Brown affair - so don’t get your hopes up that it’ll reveal any more than his Larry King interview), which we would have been all for - a few months ago when people still really cared and still felt v. disappointed by the whole affair. Not nine months later (though we acknowledge that it may have been difficult for her to talk about it before) when she’s got an album coming out. We hope we’re wrong, but, coincidence? We think not. 17. 217

How can her record company let this S**t out. I never liked Rihanna in the past, but could see why she was popular with her songs.. With this? I don't get the same feeling.

    18. 218

      that was truly horrendous.

    19. 219

This song needs to be, like, 100x faster! It's crap.

    20. 220

Maybe she should have put some music behind the boring singing and it would actually be a song.

    21. 221

It's kinda like Lady GaGa meets Gwen Stefani. I like Reggae, but this is shit.

      222

I've never been a fan of Rihanna when she is the main artist of a song… its just not great… but when she is a featured artist, or on the hook of a song, she kills it everytime! Stick to being featured RiRi! This solo stuff just isn't your game…

    23. 223

PEREZ ALL YOU DO IS BITCH BITCH BITCH, YOU LIKE SOMEONE THEN YOU HATE SOMEONE. PICK A FUCKING LANE. YOUR FUCKING BITCHING AND COMPLAINING IS GETTING OLD AS AN OVERUSED CONDOM. MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MIND. IF YOU LIKE SOMEONE STOP FUCKING DISRESPECTING THEM A FUCKING MINUTE LATER. STUPID ASS.

      230

I really wished everyone had waited a bit more instead of putting her back on the treadmill.

Chris Brown broke her. I think both their careers are over.

    31. 231

she sucks. She should stick to modeling…

    32. 232

I think it's time for RiRi to take a break and come back in a year or two.

    33. 233

FUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!! IS THIS A PRO SINGER OR SOME AMERICAN IDOL REJECT? RIHANNA CANNOT SING! TOO BAD CHRIS BROWN HIT HER WHERE IT COUNTS - IN THE VOCAL CHORDS!!! PRETTY MUCH…

    34. 234

and to think umbrella was going to be sung by MARY J BLIGE originally

    35. 235

      yeah it is pretty sucky

    36. 236

Say bad things as long as you talk about it. This is celebrity culture, all talk-talk and no talent. Let's say something positive: the sleeve looks like it could have been a great album in the early to mid 1980's. Yes, it copies the Lambert one (how lame), but it looks better than the Lambert one.

    37. 237

yuck, i agree… riri needs to put some serious love into it, and stop going for the obvious!

    38. 238

Meh. She needs a new producer.

    39. 239

Can she try to sing and stop with the ghetto YODLE?? It's not as bad as HALO and BEYONCE'S garbage tho.

    40. 240

      suck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    41. 241

why why why….this is soo not good….mediocre at best….i miss the good music

    42. 242

what a mess! couldnt listen to the whole thing xo

    43. 243

eww, i like her old stuff better than this shit. which is bad because i love her

    44. 244

i dont like it, it IS lackluster….

wait is over. wait is over….uh! YEAH IT IS!! apparently

    45. 245

      This is pretty good!

    46. 246

      Meh. It's ok. Definitely not a chart-topper.

    47. 247

i hated the songs when they first came out but there growing on me! i really like them now!

    48. 248
