Conan Watch Your Back! Jay Maybe On The Move Back To Late Night!

Though he may be the the butt of many an industry joke these days, Jay Leno isn't letting it bother him and continues to look to the future of his show - whenever that will be.
Truth is, The Jay Leno Show isn't doing any worse or better than his previous late night gig, yet with the cancellation of primetime shows to make room for him, he has received A LOT of negative press for it.
So what if he returned to 11:30? Would he even want to?
The answer, we have learned, may have Conan O'Brien suffering some sleepless nights.
News that NBC is seeking new ownership is nothing new, but news that they might change Jay's show hour is. In a recent interview, Jay was asked about this change and how he felt about it:
"There's a big potential ownership change coming to your company.
[Laughs] There's an ownership change here every six months. “Oh, you're the new programming guy, good to see you! OK, thank you.” Then the phone rings, “Hey Jay, I want you to meet the new guy. OK, good to see you!” I've been through nine of them!If someone [from new ownership] comes in tomorrow and puts you back at 11:35, are you thrilled?
Oh, I don't know. Are you married? Whatever you want, honey. You know I don't believe a word you are saying, right?
I'm not having a bad time at 10 o'clock now. I look at this as a job, and now I'm faced with a challenge, and it's a challenge I find difficult but interesting. I find that when I go to Vegas, whereas before I might not sell out, all of a sudden it's sold out. I seem to be doing better in terms of public appearances. I am reaching a wider audience. Whether that translates to television just yet, I don't know. But I see a difference. Now why is that, because I'm in the paper every day? I don't know. Because I'm on earlier? I'm actually doing well; this is almost the best year for personal appearances since I started. So there is no negativity there.
Do you want to go back to 11:35?
If it were offered to me, would I take it? If that's what they wanted to do, sure. That would be fine if they wanted to.Would you rather do that than this?
I don't know….Would I take it? I guess. But it's not my decision to make; it's really not. I don't know. Something makes me think we might be OK here for a while. It depends how long you're here; by that time I could be 61-62, I don't know. Personally, I think Conan is doing fine. He's beating Dave in the demo, maybe not in the popular one right now because Dave has a lot of other things going that have people watching for whatever reason, so I think that's not really a fair thing. It's a little too early to tell."
Inneresting.
Guess we'll have to see what the new owners want, but whichever way this goes, we predict NBC won't be letting go of Leno anytime soon.
Would U rather see Jay return to late-night or stay put at the 10 o'clock hour?

If this isn't evidence that Leno is the biggest a** in showbiz, I don't know what is. (ok, speidi doesn't count)
As long as he gives us back NBC Primetime, I don't particularly care where he goes. Just go soon.
NEVER FAIL NOVENA
May the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus be praised, adored and glorified throughout the whole world now and forever.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for me. St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, pray for me. St. Jude, Patron of Hopeless Cases, pray for me and grant this favor I ask.
(Say this prayer 9 times a day and for 9 consecutive days and publish.) Your request will be granted.
NBC should kick this shithead off the air. This stupid talk show at 10 has ruined the network.
I vote for 11:35, but I'll watch him anytime! Right now I'm enjoying Letterman for awhile - don't care for Conan at all.
I say 11:35. I miss the primetime shows.
I'd prefer not to see Leno at 10 or 1135pm.
I just don't especially like Jay Leno and his style…and it really pisses me off that NBC put all the 10pm shows on at 9pm just to make Jay Leno happy.
THAT was a big bust…IMO
LENO IS A GAS!
Please Jay come back and send that clown Conan back where he belongs.
If Fox was smart they would hire Arsenio and put him back with a late night show where he belongs.
To this day he was still the best late night talk show host ever.
i wish he would just go away.
We love watching Leno…. always have. Hated watching CONAN, quit watchin @ 11:35 now cuz of him and switched to Letterman first time I've ever watched him. Then after monologue I go to Chelsey Lately she is hilarious.
LENO is being honest if the NETWORK decided to dump CONAN, would he go back to that time slot…what is he to say NO find someone else ??
He will go where his paycheck tells him to go ….and I for one will be right there laughing my ass off….maybe it's cuz I watched him come up from movies and comedy shows to where he is now I dunno but we like LENO in our house.
WOW you never get used to that head…
I'd like Jay to go back to 11:35. I'm sure NBC is kicking themselves in the ass now too for kicking Jay out for Conan since Conan is down 47% in the ratings compared to how Leno did at that time.
Give it up!
Leno is the biggest douche bag ever, Thank God for Dave !
Am I the only one that wants to believe that pic was shopped, and that his head and eye aren't really effed up like that?
[Shakes "maracas" at all you hating putas.]
I've ajways loved Jay and never liked Conan but the truth is his show sucks and Conan's Tonight Show all of a sudden seems good to me. Having said that I'd rather see him at 11:35 PM since his show makes more sense after primetime.
I will never watch Jay Leno again since he had Rush Limbaugh on his show. Never. He's ded to me.
I hope they get rid of this douche-bag for good. Jay is not funny at all. Thank gawd for Connan!
Those idiots at NBC should never have messed with their old schedule. YEs put Jay back at his old time, give Conan somthing else or millions to walk away . Some people at NBC who made this stupid decision should lose THEIR jobs!!!
P>SS David Lettterman is the biggest CAbron in the world. Get Leno back to keep kicking his culo in the ratings.
I wish they'd kick Jay and Conan off TV. Can't stand either of them.
Ruining the 10:00 primetime on NBC was incredibly stupid.
Craig Ferguson is the best talk show host ever.
I think the stupid fucks ought to put it back the way it was before they fucked it up! Conan sucks at 11:30, and let's not even talk about Jimmy Failin'
Just get rid of Jay. I want scripted tv back on at 10:00, but i don't want Conan to loose his job.
I like him at ten!
I've no idea what brainiac thought it was a good idea to move him to 10 pm anyway, wtf was the point? Why didn't the idiots leave him on the Tonight Show????? WTF seriously were they thinking??????? They should have left Conan where he was, Leno where he was and just deal w/the fact that people like Letterman more!
Are interviews getting dummer and dummer ?…Looke here
"If someone [from new ownership] comes in tomorrow and puts you back at 11:35, are you thrilled?
Oh, I don't know. Are you married? Whatever you want, honey."
Jay answered the question by implying that when you are married you listen to anything your wife says…Get it? hahah
Please put Jay back at 11:35!!! I don't get to watch his show at 10:00 because I am busy at that time. I HATE CONAN!!! He is so ugly and stupid!!!
I am watching Letterman. NBC really messed things up by putting that idiot Conan on instead, ICK!!!
I think they should put him back where he was! Or take him off the air all together! He has taken up so many time slots that they are ruining their network… who wants to see him 5 days a week when other shows like southland were cancelled because of it.
They tried it and didn't work out @ 10. So now I hope they'll put him back on after the news. I miss him!
NBC was stuck between a rock and a hard place
with giving Conan the Tonight Show. If they hadn't,
NBC would have had to pay him 40 Million Dollars as
a penalty. Also, he would have been free to take
another Late Night gig, either @ Fox or ABC.
Also, @ the time, NBC thought that Conan would bring
in a younger audience, so that was another reason to
give him the Tonight show. In any event, Jay has a
3 year commitment from NBC for his current show.
So right now, it's a 3 year experiment, and remember,
Jay cratered in the Tonight Show ratings, and was beaten
by Letterman every night for about 3 years.
