Kevin Spacey Proves He's A Douche!
Times are tough, Kevin Spacey! Not all of us have money from The Usual Suspects to fall back on.
Peter Turner, a waiter in Newport, Rhode Island, lost his job after Kevin yelled at him!
Apparently, Kevin's dinner party thought it would be fine if they lit up some cigarettes at their table at the Clarke Cooke House where Peter worked. As it turns out, that is illegal in the state of Rhode Island, and Peter was instructed by his boss to kindly ask them to stop. Peter did what he was told, but tried to keep things light as to not offend Kevin and his guests.
He failed.
Peter approached the table and tried to make a joke, saying "You're not allowed to smoke in here unless you're on fire," but that just sent Kevin into a rage. He called Peter an "aggressive prick" and told to "get the fuck away" from his table.
When Peter went back to his boss to inform him about the incident, his boss explained "if the owner knew you pissed off Kevin Spacey, he'd have me fire you." Peter was laid off three days later.
We could say something here, but we think it best to let Peter speak for himself as he has a message directly to Kevin: "You called me an aggressive prick? I could say the same of you."
So could we!

K. well I can cross off another actor I'll pay money to go see. Spacey is off my "actors" to watch. Prick! I used to like watching him going back to the days of "Wiseguy".
What an ass and an embarrassment, what makes him so special that he thinks he can smoke in a state that doesn't allow it or better yet that he has the right to yell at someone else like that, or the douche of restaurant owner who thinks this prick is worth ass licking.
Wow. That was really rude. I can't believe how awful he was to the poor guy! He should have known better than to think he could smoke indoors. It's disgusting and unhealthy, and just because you're famous doesn't mean you don't have to follow the rules. I hope the poor waiter gets another, better job!

he always seemed like a jerk in interviews - are there any nice, decent men in show business? I'm thinking maybe just Johnny Depp and Conan O'Brien…met Jay Leno and his wife once at a historic park in Lake Tahoe and they were both nice to everyone - it was impressive how he interacted with everyone and didn't want any special treatment- can't stand the celebrities who think they are above the law

Peter's got fired from his waiting job, goood for him! now he no longer has to work in the wonderland of the stupid! Good for you Peter, get another job in a place you actually deserve.
This is an example of the one thing that bothers me about celebrities.
Just because you have more $ than most people know what to do with, and just because you're famous and everyone knows who you are DOES NOT in any way mean that you are above the law.
Smoking indoors is ILLEGAL in RI, the fact that this poor man got fired over this is ridiculous to me.
He's the one who will now be struggling to make ends meet, while Kevin Spacey could light a pile of $ on fire with his filthy cigarette and not even blink an eye.

Hold up - where does it say that Kevin had the guy fired? It says HIS BOSS fired him because THE BOSS thought it was bad to confront Kevin. Kevin had a rude and privileged attitude - but it certainly doesn't say that Kevin himself had the guy fired. It's important in this world to be sure one has their facts straight - how would you like to be judged wrongly and blamed for something you didn't do? Maybe Kevin did ask that the waiter be fired; but honestly I doubt it. What I suspect is that for some reason the owner had wanted to fire this waiter for a while, and this gave him an excuse.
Re: Who the hell cares – Pardon me, but fuck off. Rhode Island was one of THE FIRST states to outlaw smoking in restaurants. We know the law because we were among the first to enforce it. And, really? Hicks? In Newport, quite possibly the most un-hick city in America? Do the names "Vanderbilt" and "Kennedy" ring a bell? Where the fuck are you from, Arkansas?

I'm not surprised. I have heard some other really douchy things about Kevin. He sucks.
I was a photographer at an event Mr Spacey was speaking at in Newport that weekend. He is a fantastic person to work with- co-operative, gracious, intelligent and personable. He is a great supporter of the arts and what they mean to this country and the world.
I was actually there when this happened, and that waiter is NOT telling the truth. It was an outdoor area, and Kevin lit up a cigarette and the waiter asked him to put it out so he did. Then a friend came out and lit up, not knowing the rules. The waiter then approached his friend, grabbed the cigarette from him and threw it. Spacey told him that was out of line, the waiter said "I don't mean to be a prick but –" and Kevin said "You are being one." That was the end of it. This waiter obviously had it coming before this and now is trying to get his fifteen minutes of fame.

Yeah that sounds very plausible. Celebs always think they are above laws that "ordinary" people have to obey and God forbid you dare to tell them they're wrong in any way it'll just get you attitude and then they have you fired. Celebs are so full of themselves!
I know the Owner of the Cooke House. it is David Reyes. He's a nice guy with a great reputation in the town of Newport. he would never fire any of his off-season employees… a law's a law. Newport has much more important and famous people in the world frequenting the Cooke House. Spacey's a big fat NOBODY in the yachting industry…. and frankly, we don't need his kind frequenting Bannister's Wharf.
