Taylor Swift officially has Billboard's longest charting album of this century with her self-titled debut country album.
Taylor Swift was first released in October 2006 and now in its 157th week in the Top 200 albums chart beating out previous record-holder Nickelback.
Nickelback?! Really?!
If Taylor Swift has done this well, we can't wait to see how Fearless ends up doing!

I don't get it at all. I know that I'm not alone because I have seen posts and know people like me. Taylor Swift cannot sing! I don't find her interesting at all. Sure she may be nice and I can see how she would appeal to the little girl demographic (her songs are so juvenile), in fact my 6 year old niece loves her. I love many different kinds of music but until Taylor Swift, I have never gotten up and turned the radio off when a certain song came on. Now it seems like she is being shoved down our throats everywhere you turn. I just don't get it. How can you compare her with the great artists of our time? "just sayin"

And she writes her own music all herself until 99percent of the radio artist of today and the past even Elvis rarely wrote his own music.

LeonaLewis made a good point, we've only been in this century for 9 years so, its not like a HUGE accomplishment. Someone or many artists will out-do her eventually. Right now she's the it thing, but it won't last. Out of any artist I've ever heard of Taylor has had the most promotion put behind her. She has to be everywhere all the time to sell. So, that's a clue she is't too good. Personally, I can't believe someone with such little amount of talent made it this far. She's a horrible song writer and especially singer. Feel free to hate on me for saying it. But she doesn't deserve any of the success. She can't sing.

Re: 6one9 – umm NO. she has been around more that "15". her album sold 600k copies in the first week when it came out last november. thats more sales than beyonce AND britney debuted with. her newest album has been in the top 20 of the album sales chart since november. her 1st album has been on the top 200 sales chart for 3 years!!! she sold waay more albums than kanye before the vmas. he didnt make her a superstar, because she already was one before the vmas.

Then it came back on the charts again with the re-release in 1991, making it the 200th-best-selling album of '91—nearly three decades after its initial release. NOW THATS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. nickleback can suck it.
