It seems even the World Series can't put a damper on people's obsession with vampires!
The new CW series The Vampire Diaries brought in big numbers last Thursday, holding its own against game two of the World Series.
The show had a record performance with adults 18-34 (2.4 rating/7 share), especially and not surprisingly, women 18-34 (3.2/ 9). These numbers mark the highest ratings for the CW since January 2007.

its a fantastic show!!!!!!! i thought it would b a shittty show but its amazing. its like a teenage true blood

I love Vampire Diaries. Let's hope it has better longevity than Gossip Girl. From what I understand Gossip Girl isn't doing so well in the ratings this season.

im like in luv with this show, I too thought this would be a rip off twilight, but it isnt, I actually just finished the books, and I hate to say it but twilight is actually ripping off vampire diaries, especially with the whole vampire/werewolf thing!
I tried to watch this show and it SUCKED, no pun intended. Bad acting, boring characters, and clearly trying to rip off the mania behind Twilight. Ugh.

I can't decide who I like better, Damon or Stefan. They are both so irresistible!
First, its not a Twilight rip-off. TVD books were around long before Twilight. Second, I love the show. Ian and Paul are both hot, hot, hot. Nina would definitely have made a better Bella than Kristen Stewart does.
