Katie Holmes will be replacing Liv Tyler in The Romantics, a little indie comedy that is snatching some big names. She will be appearing along side Elijah Wood, Josh Duhamel, Adam Brody, and True Blood babe Anna Paquin!
The flick centers on eight college friends who reunite for a wedding with Katie as the maid of honor to Anna's bride.
How's it feel to no longer be Hollywood's IT girl, Katie?
Don't feel too bad for her, though. Along with her name attached to the cast, Katie will also nab an executive producer credit.

I know that she is young BUT she just doesn't seem as young as Brody, Pacquin or Wood which is a shame. I think of her as being in her late 30's. Maybe it is the way she dresses or her marriage. I'm not sure but she seems very very old. Too old to be a college friend of the the fellow actors.

It's because her acting is average/under-average Tom Cruise loves staying with her. That guy is such a loser, trying to look good by comparing himself to someone worse! Good thing Nicole Kidman stayed away from that douche!
She once had so much promise. Hope she gets her career back. No doubt Tom wrangled the producer credit for her. Real producers must cringe when an actor with no experience gets a credit like that.

she was never an 'It" girl. she should do more mature roles… no one believes her as a college student.
Well I like Katie, her having the money to executive produce or whatever is not a bad thing. Some of you are forgetting that this is a business and there are may deals that are made in order to succeed and progress your business.
