It seems that Rihanna was an unexpected guest at Mariah Carey's Halloween bash this weekend. Sources say that the two ladies refused to be photographed together and didn't even speak for the entire evening.
While RiRi partied with Ne-Yo and some friends in a booth, across the floor MiMi stuck close to her hubby, Nick Cannon in a VIP area. Neither made the effort to greet the other!
A spy recalls: "It was Mariah's party, but Rihanna didn't want to be seen with her. And Mariah was not going over to greet Rihanna. Mariah needed six guards to clear a path to the bathroom so her wings wouldn't be dislodged."
(Mariah was dressed as an angel! MiMi is all about the extra marketing!)
Getting wind of the rumors of bad blood between them, Mariah's rep told the press: "There were 1,000 people there and, of course, she needed security. She heard a rumor that Rihanna was there but she never saw her. She loves Rihanna and of course would have said hello."
Yeah, we're not buying it!
Perhaps MiMi's favor lies with Chris Brown? Or perhaps she just isn't feeling the new generation taking her thunder?

I believe this may be true. Christina Aguilera has famously stated the Mariah was never cool to her when she was coming up through the ranks. In essence, she called out Mariah for being a hater. Mariah is hyper-insecure and nutty. She used to have a great voice but all of her anti-psycotic meds and hard living have diminished, or more harshly, destroyed, her instrument. She peaked with 'My All' at the first 'VH-1 Diva's' concert and it's been downhill for her and the voice ever since.
