Poppa Lohan Says He'll Shut Up If LiLo Goes To Rehab

As the war rages on in the LOLhan household, things are getting pretty damn ugly and even more public! But there is a glimmer of hope!
Michael Lohan swears that he will shut the hell up as soon as his daughter Lindsanity gets back into the rehab.
The bargain was suggested days after Poppa Lohan threatened to release voicemails proving that not only does Lindsay have a problem with prescription drugs, but his ex-wife, Dina Lohan as well.
Of course, Dina isn't taking any of this lying down, and she has already started to take action to shut him up legally. She was quoted saying: “He’s getting a cease-and-desist letter [from us], so that’s not going to happen. If it’s something personal about your child, you don’t go public with it.”
But while the cease-and-desist letter might stop some people, it doesn't seem to be bothering Michael. He insists that he will go public with his information if he doesn't see a drastic change and furthermore, points the blame on Dina for forcing him to go public:
“To begin with, I have been trying for a year to help Lindsay with her problems PRIVATELY through Lindsay, her mom, her attorney Blair Berk and even her new attorney Shawn Holley and the courts.
I have the records to prove it. But when that didn’t work, and the calls I was getting from Dina and Lindsay needed immediate attention, it was recommended to me to go public, like Martin Sheen and others did, in order to put pressure on Lindsay.
I wasn’t going to let people hear Dina’s drunken rants about Lindsay, and I certainly wasn’t going to let people hear anything about Lindsay, but now that Dina and Lindsay continue to lie and deny their problems, and even make up stories about me, NOW you will see and hear Lindsay’s calls and texts. I am NOT the liar, they are. Hopefully then, they will realize how deceptive and in denial they are and finally realize that lying and denial are part of their addictions.
I am sorry I had to take this route, but I have tried and tried to help Linds and I have been lied about long enough.”

You are going about this all the wrong way, Mike. She has to want to go to rehab to make herself feel better, not be forced to go out of fear that her own father will humiliate her. Besides, we don't need voicemails to tell us she is messed up. Any picture taken of her in the last six months is all the proof we need!!!

In this case I actually agree with Michaels tactics. He really has no choice Dina and Lindsay both suffer from addiction and live in denial. It doesn't help that Dina is in denial over Lindsays problem because she has her own issues. I could care less if Dina goes to rehab where she belongs, but Lindsay is still young enough to turn it around and needs to go to rehab. Lindsays addiction and behavior is alarming and gets increasingly more frightening to watch as the time goes on. She is worse than Britney Spears now in the height of her meltdown and that says a lot.

No wonder Lindsey Lohan is so fucked up. She has probably two of the worst parents in the world. For the first time I feel really sorry for her, it's obvious that neither of her fame-whoring parents give two shits about her.

If he has the voicemails and documents to verify what he's claiming then I approve of what he's doing. He sounds desperate to help his daughter and frustrated that he can't. It can't be easy to watch your child spiral down and I don't blame him for trying everything he can to get her some help. Yes, she has to want it but in the meantime I applaud him for seeing that she needs help, which is more than Dina will admit to. It's too bad that in her drugged state Lindsay doesn't see that her father is trying to help her. I feel sorry for her and sad for the father who is pulling out all the stops to get through to her but is stonewalled every time. What a sad situation this is.

She isn't going to get help on her own, and YES, addicts do need to do it for themselves. You can lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink. You can lead it to water, though. Maybe it will drink. Okay, so his motives may be selfish, but it's better than him standing by watching her as she kills herself. Doing nothing would make him an enabler.
