Ugly Betty's Ratings Get Uglier!

Things aren't looking good for the once-loved ABC show!
Ugly Betty literally hit a new low on Friday drawing in only 4.5 million viewers, beating out the low ratings they received last week with 4.55 million viewers.
Dateline had this highest numbers of the night with 7.95 million followed by CBS' Medium at 7.69 million.
Could this be Betty's last year at Mode?

If they had a brain and changed UB back to a night when most of the ppl watching are not out and about then the ratings would be just fine. Any night but Fri-Sat would work.
yeah they should change it back to thursday nights i know i keep forgetting it's comming on fridaynot thursdays nights and almost miss it each time . change it back to thursdays.
what the hell?? ugly betty is AMAZING. it is so so funny…and this season has been fantastic so far. really more people should watch it.

The story line temporarily sucks, but damn I love that show! One of the only happy shows on the telly!
This show was stupid from the start because they didnt even use an "ugly" girl..just threw fake braces and glasses on an ok looking girl and called her ugly. So stupid.

i used to love that show but now its like a characature of itself, the script writers have turned the characters and storylines into over the top pantomime versions of themselves which is really sad because i cant bare to sit through a whole episode anymore . . .
This is what happens when some bird-brained tv executive gets the idea into their thick skulls to move a first rate show to a non prime-time slot. Good going idiots. Move Ugly Betty back to Thursday nite.
They had Lohan on the show, ever since them it keeps leaving a sticky film on the TV so I stopped watching.
Ugly Betty needs to go back to Thursday's at 8. Whatever that show is called that took her time slot needs to switch with her. Come on, who really watches TV on a Friday or Saturday night??? Everyone's out having a good time with their family and friends
oh yeah ABC putting this show on Friday nights is genius! thats why its NEVER going to crash and burn*rolls eyes and sarcasm*this show deserves more views! its the bestt! I keep on missing it though because im always busy on friday ._.
well maybe if it wasn't on a weekend night @ 9 when most people are getting ready to go out it would have better ratings. bring betty back to thursdays where she belongs!!!!
The novelty of this show has worn off long ago. Seriously. How long is going to wear those braces for? And every heard of eye laser surgery? The plot works as a movie, not as a tv series which goes on & on & on & on…
Well I'm knocked up, and don't have anything better to do on Friday nights than watch Betty, that is, if I can stay awake!!! It would be REALLY nice if they would switch it back. Give it a chance! It is a happy, silly show with good messages, especially for young girls….they can't all just watch shit like The Hills, where all the girls are plastic, bitchy, and fake. At least Betty is good-hearted, friendly and positive!!!! Shame on you Perez for only mentioning how you think Betty is doomed.

Nooo, I love Ugly Betty! But they should really switch it back to Thursday's, I missed the second episode because of that, ugh. A lot of people are busy on Friday's and Saturday's.

The problem is America's diva reputation. She turned nasty, and everything else turned ugly (no pun intended). Even on the recent virtual press junket, a desperation move for ratings, she was standoffish to our local news guy. Recast her or put it to rest.
When "Stars" like Betty/America learn to shut their big mouths about their politcs they'll see more viewers. I enjoyed the show until I saw her open her big mouth and tell us her views. Why do these people think we care? It's a stupid show with a stupider star.
I really like Ugly Betty, but I don't see how the show can go on with those ratings. On a side note, I didn't know Medium was doing that well in the ratings. Good for them.

Ugly betty is awesome, but needs way better time slot like before.
What people need to realize is that ABC may finally kill Betty by moving it to Friday night, but Betty was put on life support last season on Thursday night.
Season 3 started with over nine million voters and with Betty a top 30 show by the end of the season the show was in free-fall both creatively and in the ratings. The show ended the season with barely 6 million viewers and was basically no longer a top 50 show.
The network was loosing ad revenue from this failing expensive to produce show.
The valuable Thursday 8pm slot was given to a new show the network had confidence in and felt was going to succeed and therefore be on the rise. Betty was and is failing and will very likely not be renewed for another season. The November trip to the Bahamas is stunt plotting at it's worst.
The move to Friday may turn out good for the fans as it may be allowed to finish out its season there as opposed to "going away" and then finishing out in the summer.
I just started watching the show, its actually pretty good - like funny mixed with clever and cuteness.

It's a silly show but I really enjoy it and will be sorry to see it go. The humor is topical and co-stars Michael Urie and Becky Newton crack me up. As someone else mentioned it's a happy show with good messages for young girls and any teen struggling to be accepted by their peers.
its b.c they have it on friday at 9 and most people are out having lives and not all people have dvr so the need to change the day and it wil go back up in ratings
I used to watch that show. I stopped watching it when they kept changing the day and time it came on. I couldn't keep up. One week it was on Monday nights at 8 and the next week it wasn't on at all, and the next week it was some other day. People probably just got tired of figuring out when it would be on. Same thing with that Samantha Who show that was absolutely hilarious but you could never predict when it was on.
I used to LOVE the show too! Somehow the writers went belly up on us and now the show is fuct! The storylines are stupid and yes, Justin is gay- so what?! I think it's the end for Betty soon. Shoot her when she's down…

Dear ABC- please cancel Dharma and Greg 2 (Accidentally on Purpose) and move that charlie sheen show and bring back Ugly Betty/Grey's Thursdays.
