Lindsay Taking Legal Action Against Douchebag Dad
She's mad as hell and not going to take it any more!
Lindsay Lohan has been in touch with her lawyers not only about a restraining order against father Michael Lohan but also the possibility of a defamation lawsuit.
That would be a smart move after her father has completely betrayed Lindsay and released tapes of conversations she had where she sounds severely distressed!
Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is also talking to the authorities in New York to see if Michael violated a criminal protective order.
Regardless of what route they take, the wheels are in motion to put a stop to Michael Lohan's disgraceful behavior!

I totally disagree with you Perez. She's an addict and she needs outing to save her life. Her mother won't even admit there's a problem cuz she's living off the fat of the land and she's an addict herself. It's not a nice way of "outing" her, but it IS a way to make her look at herself. And he said he was going to release the tapes, she wasn't blindsided. She needs help. Her father may be a jerk in many ways, but he has legitimate concerns for his daughter's life. She would be stupid to sue for Defamation. That would mean taht he is lying about her. Well she would have to prove that she isn't a drug addict and as we all know…she couldn't do that. Additionally, those phone messages didn't defame her they were her speaking. If she really had a case her lawyers would have already filed a cease and desist letter, they haven't and are just trying to pretend that there is something they can do.
Idk.. maybe in some twisted way he's actually trying to help her. He might have put the audio tape out there so people could see that side of her and really understand that she needs help. Her mom certainly isn't doing shit.
It's about time she legally shut her loser dad up. He acts like he wants to help her but he does WAY more damage to her reputation than she does, WAY MORE!. Even when she gets roles on TV and in movies her dads in the headlines talking about what a mess she is, and I'm sure it affects peoples decisions on whether or not they'll hire her.

Releasing a private tape of a daughter's conversation is abusive. He's a douche if he released it, and I expect him to backpedal and say someone else released it, but if he did this, I hope they nail him in his wallet. Maybe then he'll learn to keep his money/fame seeking mouth shut.
