As promised, Poppa Lohan released the first of what we imagine will be many recordings of his daughter Lindsay Lohan in states of sadness. The snippet of conversation released this morning is heart-wrenching, as a broken Lindsay is desperately seeking some guidance and affection from her family.
At times, the tape is inaudible through her sobbing and tears, but what can be heard from her is just so sad. At one point, she can be heard saying: “No one cares about me. They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”
You know what Lindsay, we say fight for it! We say, you forget all about this piece of garbage known as your father and forge ahead with you life to find people who really do care about you and aren't out to use you for their own personal famewhoring gain.
We say get yourself clean and sober and come back to the biz with your head held high. If Hollywood has show us anything, it's shown us they like nothing better than a miraculous comeback.
And as for you Michael- The fact that you actually are starting to release these private moments of anguish from your daughter makes us sick. You are the lowest kind of person! Stabbing your own daughter in the back!

Wow… that was really sad. That family has messed her up so bad. I honestly think if she cleaned herself up a la Britney Spears style and came back looking classy and working her butt off to set up a good reliable image she could get lots of work. But she'd need to do a whole 180. I feel for her… when parents screw up it affects the kid and her parents are a real pair of cards. But she's a big girl now and I think if she wants help she needs to do it on her own and for no one else but herself.

Lindsay came into this world with two handicaps; her mother and her father. I realize that we all have to own our choices and mistakes but seriously, this girl has had no decent guidance her entire life. Add in her early success and constantly being hounded by the media and it's no wonder she's a mess. I think I'd be on drugs and alcohol too if I had her parents to contend with. How horribly sad it must be to know that your own parents don't give a crap about you but instead are using you as their own personal cash cow. I feel horrible for her. I realize that a lot of her problems are a result of her own decisions; however, in her defence, had she had appropriate and thorough guidance by REAL parents, she likely wouldn't be in the position she has found herself in. I listened to the full recording, and I found it extremely emotional and painful. It makes me wish there were something that I could do for her.

It sounds to me like she is crying about tough love. She says her mom says she is like "you d " (aka her dad). Her mom is telling her she is an addict, and Lindsey is sad her mom isn't supporting her (and her drug habit). I think her dad is the ONLY one trying to do anything to save her. This is tacky, but maybe he felt there were few ways to get her to treatment.

I think it's very sad what kind of 'parents' Lindsay has. And clearly that caused most of her problems. But. She is grown up. She was in Rehab. She has and had all chances to do therapy and get better instead of taking drugs and alcohol so many years. She could be a better sister to her little sister instead of partying with her. Her parents are awful, but that doesn't mean, they are responsible for all her actions as an adult. She could do better any day, but she doesn't. So its her choice too, to live like that.
