7-Eleven To Make Winos Happy!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & True > Business Blitz

7-11logo.jpg

This is disgusting!

Homeless drunks start saving your pennies: 7-Eleven is making it more affordable for you to get your drink on!

The convenience store chain has announced that they'll be spicing up their selection of Slurpees by offering low-priced bottles of wine in the next aisle! They'll start by stocking two choices from the Yosemite Road label, a chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon and each bottle will cost $3.99.

The idea behind putting fruit punch in a wine bottle resonated from a two fold economic trend: "a demand for affordability coupled with more people eating at home."

Now, you can stop off at your local 7-Eleven and pick up a complete meal, if your idea of dinner involves beef jerky and potato chips!

The wines will be released soon to 7-Eleven stores in the U.S. and Japan.

you know, the word "eleven" is right there in the pic. perhaps you could have spelled it right? it's gotta be a slow news day if you're picking this up. supermarkets have been selling cheap wine forever now.

  2. 2

    Trashy!

  3. 3

    smart plan :D

  4. 4

Why is that disgusting? A store selling wine. don't most corner stores in the states sell booze?

  5. 5

I take it you've never heard of Boone's Farm, Night Train or Thunderbird.

  6. 6

of course it's released to the US …. HA.

  7. 7

Come to Kansas. Supermarkets and convenience stores can't sell wine. LOL

  8. 8

3.99 —- that's cheaper than Aqua Velva aftershave !! The street drunks will love the bargain.

  9. 9

uh, and the problem with this is…? Most stores already sell wine coolers and Boone's Farm. I don't get why selling cheap alcohol at a gas station already selling beer would warrant a response like this.

  10. 10

I've eaten beef jerky and potato chips for dinner dozens of times.
Jerky is full of protein, and you can pack on some carbs while enjoying the all natural flavor of a bag of Lays.
A dark chocolate Dove Bar for dessert tops it all off.
    And now wine?
    Thank Christ for 7-Eleven.

  11. 11

What's your point idiot? A LOT of convenience stores sell wine.

  12. 12

    disgusting?

    TRY COLLEGIATE!!

  13. 13

Whoever thought of this brilliant business plan should be applauded. In this market he or she has found a great way to make more money. What is disgusting about this? After just reading you shouting out "great nipples" on a clip about britney or you creating a mosaic of miley cyrus' tongue; you call a business plan disgusting? Hypocrisy at it's best yet again. This site is horrible.

  14. 14

I think the word 'wine' may be a little too liberal & somewhat of an overstatement…'goon' springs to mind

  15. 15

This is NOT disgusting, this IS BRILLIANT! I dont drink beer, and 7/Eleven doesnt sell liquor..so i am very pleased to hear that affordable wine will soon be available. Perez your such a dumb ass :)

  16. 16

so its going to be a wine slurpie? mhhh interesting i might give them a try.

  17. 17

Putting fruit punch in a wine bottle…??? I don't get it.

  18. 18

    That's Awesome!!! I can't wait!!!

  19. 19

Um. Why is this "disgusting"? 7-11 has been selling beer for as long as I can remember - when I was a teenager I used to stand outside the store on Friday nights and sweet talk "of age" guys into buying it for me - and I'm pushing 40.

  20. 20

You should care more about them selling porn!!! who cares about wine?

    get your fucking priorities straight.

Why is this disgusting? Trader Joe's has been selling 2 buck chuck for years and it's DELICIOUS! Why wouldnt you want a cheap bottle of wine of that tastes great?

  22. 22

Cheap wine is old news, go to 7-11 in Hawaii, slurpies, beer, wine and booze, even the little 'nipper' bottles for on the go!

  23. 23

k why not in canada! jesus.. but if i think about it.. where im from the neighborhoods that have 7-11s.. ha.. would be in more some trouble there hahah

  24. 24

    Re: Wino808 – Virgina too.

  25. 25

In West Virginia the 7-11 near my mother's house is also a liquor store

  26. 26

Cool, now they need to start selling Chardonnay Slurpees…

  27. 27

oh come on now!!! for f*** sack, give it to them at 7 eleven give it to them everywhere lets get rid of them all as conviently as possible. there are no bums where i live because its to cold for them :) hey we all fuck up but when u make a life decision to be a drain on society and you choose to not even look into other options!!! BOOM!

  28. 28

How is that disgusting? Most gas stations in my state already sell wine anyways.

    29

I dont get it…7-11 has been selling beer…and most convenient stores already sell wine, so why all the fuss? This is a great idea, and weird to hear that 7-11 hasnt been doing this already!

  30. 30

THIS IS GREAT NEWS! I'm fuckin' excited! However—why does Hilton not seem to know 7-11 has ALWAYS sold alcohol, including wines? A new brand would be cool though.

  31. 31

Re: NonbreederRe: Bree – Depends on the state. Can't sell booze in convenience stores in PA.

  32. 32

Cool! I always wished they selled wine. Now I can pick up a bottle on my way home from work if I want & avoid the long lines everywhere else.

  33. 33

Here in Jersey, no stores outside of liquor stores sell any kind of alcohol. I hope wine is not coming to my nearest 7-11. That place is trashy enough as it is with people loitering and calling you, "Mami," "Shorty," and leering at you…. Now these idiots are going to be drunk off cheap wine too? Great…. I hope that this will not be coming to Jersey.

  34. 34

People….convenient stores alreadys sell wine, beer in a lot of states. this isn't new news…..it's a good idea. Hence "convenient store".
wish they would do it in Maryland already!

  35. 35

Perez! Now you can get your boyfriend something special!
