Actor James Gandolfini reportedly assaulted a photographer on Halloween who was trying to get some footage of him shopping in New York's West Village.
After telling the photographer he doesn't "wanna relax" and that he's going to "break his f*ckin' face," you can hear the photog's mom yell at Gandolfini to get away from her son!
We think you DO need to fuckin' relax, James!

I don't like pictures/videos of kids being taken. That being said…I realize that the paparazzi are the face of the problem for celebrities, but the real problem is that people buy magazines and read sites like this, thus making the photography profitable. If people weren't buying the pictures, the photogs would be out of business. The guy was standing far away, and while I understand Gandolfini not wanting his child to be video-taped, I think he was really out of line.
Go Gandolfini! If he wants to be left alone, leave him alone. Should you keep being a douchebag paparazzi, be prepared to get your ass kicked.

Gandolfini, you are the one who decided to go into a profession that, if you are successful, you could lose your privacy. People recognize you on the street, they take pictures, they think you are God's gift to acting, etc. Grow up! You are not so special that you can start hitting on someone just because they film you or take your picture. If you don't like it, then get out of the profession of being a star. Act for free on off Broadway productions or community theater. Of course, you aren't going to do that. You want the recognition, you want the fame, you want the money. You are just a foul tempered fat man who thinks you are entitled to act like a jerk because you are well known.

I don't understand how filming/taking pictures of a person without their consent is legal? I say if you're going to stalk someone the risk you take is getting punched in the face or run over if you're purposely in the way.
I honestly don't see how this sort of stalking is legal and has no consequences for the paparazzi.
I think this is out rageous. I was a HUGE fan of Neil Diamond. I used to go to his shows and when I could not get tickets, I would hang out in front of the hotel he was staying at or in the back of the Forum if he was performing. Anyway, when he finally got out of his limo after a show and tried to get in to his hotel I screamed, "NEIL, KISS ME!! and he walked right past me like I was invisble. I think stars need to remember who it is that made them famous. If it weren't for this young man trying to take this guy's photo, who would know who the hell he is.
I usually don't stick up for paps ,but he was in public in NYC and he was not in his face, so no James was in the wrong.

I think the kid was an amatuer filming some supposed celebrity from a distance of at least 50 feet. I don't think it counts a paparazzi. I do a bit of amatuer filming myself, although not of "celebrities". I like to film the dope dealers, pimps and other walking sacks of human excrement that have taken over my neighborhood. If this fat out of shape creep had thrown a punch at me, I would have beaten him half to death, although I would have passed the camera to Ma first so she could catch all the action.
