Cartoon Network Not Just Doing Cartoons!

It's not called "live-action series network" for a reason!
Cartoon Network has decided to think outside the cartoon box and try something new for a change - two original live-action series!
The cable network has ordered 13 episodes of both hourlong shows, Tower Prep and Unnatural History.
"These new series will offer our viewers a type of action-packed event entertainment not found anywhere else," said Cartoon Network's chief content officer, Rob Sorcher.
Prep follows a rebellious teen who is stuck at a mysterious prep school for kids with "unique potential," while History centers around a high school student that takes skills that he learned traveling around the world with his parents and uses them to solve mysteries at the national museum.
Really?!
Will U be watching?!

You act like live-action stuff is some sort of new concept they're going to start trying. They've had live action crap on there for a while now. Personally, I think they should stick to cartoons or change the name of the network.
first! seems like the rebellious teenager @ prep school sounds like a take on A Cather in the Rye…. just saying
hell no I will not be watching. I knew they were trying to do this to Cartoon Network. The new executives suck ball sack.
On Adult Swim, I have been enjoying episodes of the british original version of The Office. And the Mighty Boosh. Maybe that programming formula has passed onto prime time for the kiddies.
HELL NO, I WILL NOT.
It's called CARTOON network. The only shows I even bother watching on that channel is Total Drama Action/Island.
And adult swim of course. But cartoon network sucks -.-
Well if they should change the name "Cartoon Network" I'm pretty damn sure MTV should do the same! Music Television MY ASS. I don't see any reports about the lack of MUSIC on that station! YAWN. Cartoon Network isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before on other networks.
Good for them! They are coming back full force!
No, I won't watch. I used to love Court TV until they dropped the courtroom/crime stuff for stupid reality crap that is on every other channel. Bummer, I love classic cartoons.
adult swim all the way
Feels like a waste to be an animator these days.
They already have live-action shit on there.
It's all worthless, too.
It's getting to be like MTV — nothing to do with its namesake any more. Soon cartoon network won't even have any cartoons on it. Idiots.
I actually don't like that there are live action shows on CN. There are so many great artists and animators out there that could use the backing. Make some art.
see also Samurai Jack
where the fuck have you been? they've had non-cartoon shows for over a year now.
1) cartoon network DOES NOT suck. it is NOT going downhill and the new executive DO NOT suck so don't even say that
2) they are obviously trying to reach out to an older audience by adding in live action shows and just so you know, those shows are doing very well for the most part. the new shows are working a lot better for the network than a cartoon-only network.
3) a new name is probably in the process of being worked on
All in all, these new shows are REALLY GREAT so just give them a chance!
Both of these ideas are worthy of about one episode each of an animated nictoons show. Live action on Cartoon Network is bad enough. Live action with a complete lack of originality is just a waste of time and money.
That sounds like witches of waverly place & the librarian combined.
The live action shows (the ones you mention are not, unfortunately, the first for CN) will be the death of CARTOON NETWORK, or at least the death of the executives who made the indefensible decision to air this unwanted, low-rated programming. It's a "CARTOON" network, not a "poorly-produced reality shows featuring idiot tweens" network.
Hell no and i am pissed that they show live action on adult swim
Ever since they dropped Toonami, Cartoon Network has never been the same. I can't stand the obnoxious and slap-stick "cartoons" they have now. They aren't funny and they make my ears bleed.
i watched when i was a kid and i think it's ridiculus , because kids need to watch Dexter laboratory, Powerpuff girls and especially TOM AND JERRY
I heard they were giving Lou Dobbs a series. Perfect!
I haven't watched cartoon network in forever sence they took out most of my favorite CARTOONS from when I was a kid. And now they make it worst by adding LIVE ACTION shows in a "suppose to be" hence the name CARTOON network. if there going to have LIVE ACTION in a CARTOON network they should chance the name to LIVE ACTION network.
Cartoon Network? Really?
Seems like another case of the people at the network getting bored with their own genre–too bad they're forgetting the viewers. They should be doing the very best job they can in the genre they are in–focusing on showing the best in animation; new and old.
