HBO Goes Transgender!

HBO is pushing the limits of gender and sexuality with T, a half-hour drama series following the transformation of a woman into a man.
The show, which was inspired by an episode of public radio's This American Life, comes from married couple Anya Epstein and Dan Futterman.
The two, who are serving as showrunners for the third season of HBO's In Treatment, will write the pilot and serve as executive producers.

Oh my god. Why would someone want to turn something so personal and important to them as a gender reassignment into a circus side show? No matter how hard I try I do not understand what is happening to the ethics and morals of North American, especially in the US.

Re: TheRussianOne – Gender is not what's between your legs, it's what's between your ears. Transgender people have the right to express themselves how ever they choose, and society needs to stop forcing boys and girls into gender conformity. If girls can wear pants, then boys can wear dresses.

There is so much transphobia on here it makes me sick to my stomach. TheRussianOne don't use psychology terms if you have no idea what they mean. Ask any psychologist if transsexuality is simular to dismorphia and they'll flat out tell you no. That would be like me saying you have a learning disability because you misuse medical terms that are way over your head (like you did).
If you refuse to accept medical facts about trans people and continue to be transphobic than you need to accept that you're a bigot. Hating any group based purely on ignorance because they are in some way different from you makes you a bigot.

Thank goodness I cancelled my HBO the other day. I can't see myself remotely interested in watching that he/she and "it's" transformation into "manhood". God makes you who you are (gender) for a reason. If He wanted you to like women, then you would have been born a man. I'm not a homophobe, but I think it's nasty.
I don't know if I believe this or not, but it appears that Perez has finally had an item about a transsexual in which he did not ridicule, use an insulting term like "tranny" or screw up the gender identification. Can it it that Perez is FINALLY getting a clue about us? I hope so!! Tolerance, acceptance, understanding and respect for all!! It's the only way!!
