Rihanna Digs Deep And Reveals Painful Details

In the last 24 hours, the world has gotten a glimpse into the now infamous altercation between Rihanna and Chris Brown from Ri herself.
Breaking her silence finally after several months of speculation, Rihanna sat down with Diane Sawyer and in part two of her interview, which aired today, she gives the heart-wrenching details of that fateful night, claiming that while it was all happening, he "had no soul in his eyes."
To hear Rihanna recount the events of the evening is shocking, mostly because she confirms all of the worst details, including the fact that one point, Chris threatened to kill her for phoning her assistant. She insists she knew he would never go through it, using his words as a scare tactic to keep her quiet, but the physical abuse that she recounts was very real:
"I fended him off with my feet from one … side of the car, but … it was not like, it was not like a fight with each other. I just … I really just wanted it to stop…I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face. So there was no way of me getting home, except for, my next option was to get out of the car and walk. Start walking in a gown, in a bloody face. So I really don't know what my plan was. I didn't have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan."
She recalls that by the time the police reached the scene, she was already brutally "battered" and when asked what caused the fight initially, she would only say that he was lying to her:
"I caught him in a lie. And he wouldn't tell the truth … I was being more annoyed at that point in our relationship he had to lie about something so stupid, I couldn't take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it. And … it was ugly."
Along with shining some light on the details of that evening, she also divulges into why, after all the pain he caused her, she returned to him for a period of time. She insists that she was feeling a "host ofemotions " and that her love for him "blinded" her from seeing the reality of the situation. She said, "The physical wounds go away, you put it in the back of your head and you start lying to yourself subconsciously."
Feeling "lonely" and "humiliated," especially after the leak of the photo of her face after Chris' attack, it took her getting over the hurdle of feeling the need to protect Chris before she could walk away:
"I just said to him, 'I can't do this.' I resented him. I resented him so much. And I always put the tough face on and try to, I can do anything face, and just try to play it off. But he knew. He knew it. He kept asking me, 'You hate me, don't you? You hate me,'" she told Sawyer. "And I would lie and I would say, 'No, no. And … I did hate him. … Everything about him annoyed me. So finally … I just said, we can't … we can't do this. I cannot continue to do this."
Finally, though she says she has grown and feels like the worst of the incident is behind her, she makes it clear that in the end, it is something that she will always take with her, a piece of her that can never be healed:
"The thing that men don't realize, when they hit a woman, it's… the face, the broken arm, the black eye, it's going to heal. That's not … the problem. It's the scar inside. You flashback. You … you remember it all the time. It comes back to you whether you like it or not. And it's painful. So I don't think he understood that. They never do."
Wow! So strong!
We're so happy that she has been able to grow from this situation and find a way to face it and talk about it openly.
Keep holding on, RiRi!

She started the fight, threw his phone out the car and provoked him. No mention of that. I hope next time she gets her teeth knocked out. And hopefully her career ends and we never have to here from her again.
Yes, people, part of the timing has to do with promotion and it wasn't just her decision to make, at her level she has a team of people everyone from the label to the aunts to the uncles. …..
The promotion aspect doesn't not take away from the fact that those pictures of her face beat up where very real. She is coming across as genuine in the interview and proof is that other women that have gone through it or are going through it know exactly what she was talking about……
This is why I had a problem with Chris Brown from the beginning and it was easy for his defenders to talk sh***t before because Rihanna wasn't speaking out or defending herself but now it is a different story…Chris Brown defenders are having a hard time justifying what he did..as they say Truth Hurts….
Now as a man the excuses Chris Brown is giving is all BS I can see right through it.
rihanna's words remind me so much of my own experience when i was emotionally and physically abused…i hope all those haters out there shut their mouths about chris brown because if riri is telling the truth, he deserves to have his career destroyed and much more.
kudos to her for being so strong. what a great role model and inspiration to all of us!
Some of y’all forget about a very very important thing when it comes to domestic violence. When a case is ONGOING, the victim and the accused ARE NOT ALLOWED to talk about it in public. Rihanna didn’t know until August whether the case was going to go to court or if a deal was going to be make.
So if you think about it, it has NOT been a whole year. She could only comment on this since August. It’s now November.
It’s been two months.
And uhm, believe me if she LIED about any of the derails, I’m sure Chris Brown’s expensive Michael Jackson lawyer would sue her for deflamation of character, don’t you think?
Conclusion; she might have not went into detail but it seems to me like she spoke the truth. AND remember Chris statement after her interview; he didn’t say SHIT to defend himself.
What a bunch of crap!!! What's the real story?Chris speak up!!!!!!!
reading this made me cry…I know exactly how she feels now. granted, it wasn't my bf…it was my own father that beat me up when i was 16. i ended up at the hospital.
i hope he burns in hell.
it's true that you can't forget. you always get flashbacks and it's all you can do to stay still and not break down. it's the scariest part.
go Rihanna!
Not saying what she went thru wasn't a bad thing or that she is lying but….I love how she waits for her album to finally tell her side…this is how you want to get publicity for your new album???
I wont buy it….should have just kept your mouth shut or spoke out about it when it didn't look like your doing it out of greed
Re: Angeles85 – Greed is the only reason she chose to say anything….how can people even support this??? She just so happens to come out with all of this the week b4 her album release….? Pulease
I have a few words 4 Rihanna SIT DOWN HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
like the thing she said last. 'they never do' cause that really true!
Did we all watch the same interview? What started all of this is she admittedly seen a text message on his phone and questioned him about it. Like she said he wanted her to drop it but she wouldnt. But the text message spoke for itself. And yes, she did back him up against the wall and he did not like it. Most lyers dont. I dont think she did this for publicity at all. She doesnt need to. She told Diane Sawyer that is was like she went to bed Rihanna and woke up Britney Spears. Why is that…she is at that fame level. People either will buy her album or not. Period. I think she wanted to speak out on her terms which she has done. And for someone who does not give interviews…thank you Rihanna. My daughter lovessss you dearly. And I am glad she seen you speak out on this. May God Bless your in life and in your career.
i'm a caribbean girl and trust me rihanna hit chris brown first.and i can also tell you that its not the first time! were we are from when your man piss u off and you asking him about it and he not answering some times the women hit first …rihanna is a liar u can tell she is not even looking straight at the cam or the woman she talking to..she also keep laughing i couldn't understand why she was doing it.coming out to help abused victims is fine but she was not an abused person she got hit for hitting him.im not saying its ok for women to beat women but i hardly see rihanna as a role model to kids and young girls …walking almost naked and always showing her nipple rings are just trashy…i don't know who is advising her but they need to stop this shit.rihanna is embarassing the caribbean.we don't promote that kinda whoring behavior! if she loved chris brown like she say she does why is she trying to bury him! just let it go couldnt her record company come up with a better idea to sell records!!! and riri you need to go get ya dam head fixed you looking a hot mess all of a sudden. to think people used to compare her to beyonce rihanna lack class and i blame her mother! letting a 16 year old go to the concret jungle all alone with no body to say no to her and to guide her no wonder this shit happend! she needs to go back to barbados!
It is all some bullshit…….And it is all her fault. The bitch look crazy as hell.
I am very proud that she is able to talk about the situation, and to give a voice to all the girls who are going thro the same situation. It was absolutely horrible. But as she also states in the interview, that people can change. And I hope that Chris takes this opportunity to grow as a person, and to change his ways.
And I also find the timing of this interview a little suspicious. Her new album is dropping in a few weeks, and all of a sudden she feels ready to talk about the situation. What better publicity then using what people have been talking about for months now. Now even more people are talking about Rihanna, which more then likely will equal to more album sales.
Just my opinion.
yes that was very deep……… as deep as a pile of shit
