Ali G Sacha Baron Cohen has just gotten himself signed onto a really sweet deal. Columbia Pictures has just beat out two other studios for the rights to back Borat's Sacha's next two films.
The final price tag had seven digits! Yowza!
But don't expect Bruno Sacha to add more docu-characters to his repertoire soon. For right now, he is more interested in doing stricly fictional characters, like his roles in Sweeney Todd and Talladega Nights.
Eh, we'd rather he didn't and stuck to his signature characters, but if he insists on feeling like an "actor", so be it.
We won't see the movies either way.

Ok Perez, let's get real. I moderately like you, but you've lost some of my respect with this post. Why wouldn't you see a SBC movie? The man is churning out original characters in an industry of remakes and sequels. Give the man a break, he is a brilliant comic and incredibly intelligent. He may play silly characters, but he embodies them. He is ridiculously method and deserves those seven figures.

i can see why some people don't find him funny. not everyone has a developed sense of humor. most people are complacent with being entertained by a lip-synching brittany spears or wrestlers pretending to fight. not ironically, cohen's fictitional characters elicit actual truth in our culture. that's too much for the simple-monded.

borat was hilarious, ali g in da house was pretty hilarious as well but bruno just wasn't that great. it mostly skated by on trying as hard as it could to shock you. not to much humor. don't get me wrong, i laughed, just not enough to want another one of these old characters brought back to the big screen. pirelli the barber was great.
it's one of those unexplainable things, the way that i think he's kinda hot. completely foul, but sexy somehow!
and that's probably more understandable for most than my crush on Steve Buscemi…
