Violent New Mexico Soccer Player Suspended!

After seeing New Mexico player Elizabeth Lambert's violent behavior on the field, it has been announced by head soccer coach Kit Vela that Lambert has been suspended indefinitely!

I thought it was going to be a video of like one thing, but the entire game she is pushing people around acting like a heinous bully. I'm glad she got suspended, she's a danger on the field! I have been a soccer player and fan all my life, and have never seen/experienced anything like that. That ref should be fired for not seeing the dangerous stunts that girl was pulling. Good for BYU for suspending her, but clearly that girl has been doing things like this the whole season. She should be kicked off the team permanently.

I used to play soccer. And I will admit I did get a little rough. But she took this to a whole new level..I find it odd with all of this footage they have, the refs didn't see one thing except for when she kicked the ball and it hit the other girl in the face. Crazy, but she did get suspended indefinitely from any soccer related event. thank god.

She really should have been stopped by the refs before she caused serious injuries to someone - she was kicking while a player was down, she slidetackled from behind, she trampled on a girl while she was down and the hair pull to the ground was absolutely nasty - Were the refs blind, walking the field and not keeping up with the action - I wouldn't let them ref another game, they are as much to blame, it's a given they are going to miss some things but all of this? They are supposed to stop this before it gets to this point, She needed a Red card and ejection

Although the hair pull was inexcusable…the other girls from Brigham Young were baiting her the entire time. The Brigham Young girl threw the elbow first; so where is her stern talking to. I played soccer for 19 years and the games got a little rough here and there, but nothing that vicious (meaning the hair pull to the ground). Football players, basketball players, and hockey players have the cheal digs all the time. She just got all of her bad conduct over a two hour game condensed into a minute and twenty-three seconds. Who actually saw the entire game? I don't think she should have a life-long ban from soccer or be kept from playing college ball. Where the hell were the freaking refs though?!?!?! She should have definitely been red-carded out of there and made to sit out the next few games; of next season, because obviously they were not advancing in that tournament.

A world without consequences is a world without civility. For example, when you behaved like a complete ass in Toronto, you suffered the consequences by getting smoked in the grill.
