Can you say PUBLICITY STUNT?? Let me start off by saying that there's no doubt that what Chris did to her was terrible… But i'm almost certain that SHE provoked him and put her hands on him first, which STILL doesn't justify it, but it makes it more understandable of why he reacted the way he did. The girl hit her OWN BROTHER over the head with a glass bottle for crying out loud!! HELLO?!?!?!? Chris made the mistake of reacting the way he did, rather than thinking about how much he could lose by hitting her. Regaurdless of if she provoked him or not, look who's REALLY suffering?? Something's messed up with Rihanna and that whole crew!!! Beyonce didn't want to mention being married to Jay until she a new album (I Am…Sasha Fierce), and some new movies (Obsessed, and Cadillac Records) to promote. For the sake of making money, she was everywhere. On TV shows, and giving personable interviews about her long-inquired marriage to JayZ. So, naturally now that Rihanna has a new (albeit, bogus) album to promote she too is everywhere with interviews about her 'long-inquired' debauchery of that almost fatal night. Since the happenings of that evening, her along with Kanye, Beyonce, and Jay have been like bullys to much of their colleagues within the industry. They have developed egos that are extremely arrogant, and insensitive to those that do not share their desire to 'conquer' all aspects of music. Even Kanye has been quoted to saying that what they do is something of a sport, and that they are better than many of those that strive to do the same thing. While Beyonce supported Kanye's claim by stating, "he was standing up for art." So, anyone that doesn't do it in ways that pleases your taste isn't artistic? Whatever happened to making music for the sake of making music, with the main purpose of having fun? I honestly feel bad for them. Eventually they (alone) will drive away whatever fan base they have left.

When I first heard about this, I felt sorry for her, but it didn't affect me all that much. I don't know her personally, I'm not a huge fan, I haven't followed her life like other fans do. But watching these interviews just tore at my heart. I feel bad for her. Hearing her talk about what she went through, and realizing that she cannot do what she wants to do and stay with him, she needs to think about the image she is portraying to her fans by doing so. She's right about that. I have never been physically abused by a spouse, but I have been emotionally abused, and it is very hard to get out of a situation like that, especially when there are children involved. Good for her for getting out of it finally. I hope she doesn't return to him. Abusers do not change, they do not get better with time. They may act better for awhile, but it always returns.

It's a scary situation to be in and for her to speak publicly about it, is commendable – at the end of the day it’s no one business what she went through – she’s just trying to possibly be an inspiration to other women who are going through the same or similar situation. I've been out of my abusive relationship for almost 5 years and I just opened up to my family about what I went threw. For so long I was in denial about what happened to me and it wasn’t until I finally started talking about it that I realized that it wasn’t a dream. It appears that Blk-Beauty has way too many insults to throw around as if to say she is some of a higher moral ground. I am in no way concerning myself with what happened to Rihanna as it has happened to many unknown people before, and continues as I write this. I will not resort to stooping to your level because I do not know you personally. However, this particular 'control' you speak of usually last until end of sales with the first couple of albums for an artists, at which point (based off of their previous sales) they are given the freedom to go into another direction as an artist (which usually means they have the sole control of their next album). Now, with regards to Rihanna, she has certainly put out many more albums since first stepping onto the music scene. My initial comment speaks on heels of many journalists (you know, news reporters and the like) by referring to the timing of this particular interview. Where was her publicist, and those so-called 'devils' when she went running back to Chris days after the incident? I will naturally carry on with how I started this by restating I do not know you personally, but if your replies to me and other posters of this site is anything like the insults you posts (for which you have replied to a number of people disrespectfully for having what everyone is allowed to have —-an opininon), then I am glad to not know you at all.

I think both of them are at fault with most of the blame going to Chris. He should have known you don't hit girls, but us girls can't think that we can. They both should have went to counseling for anger management. They both need to learn the signs when a situation can turn violent. It's really not hard to tell when it will get ugly.
