After hearing Rihanna's side of the story on 20/20 Friday night, Chris Beat-Her-Down couldn't resist from shit talking about RiRi!
Chris sent a statement over to MTV, speaking down on Ri's decision to discuss the "private matter" of his physical abuse publicly.
Writes the douche:
While I respect Rihanna's right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.

You saw her in tears, upset over the wrong message she delivered to women everywhere by returning to you after the incident. I've been there, but Rihanna was fortunate enough to only have it happen to her on one occasion. Regardless, that horrific memory of Chris' abuse will haunt her every single day of her life. He took so much away from her. I, for one, have become very cynical and distrusting of most men ever since safely exiting my abusive relationship of 2.5 years about 1 year ago, and, frankly, I'm not sure if I will ever want to date again. I don't care how badly her statements tarnish his image. It's catharsis. It's good for her.
Besides, actions speak louder than words, and Chris' actions have already done a number on his career. It's his fault, and there's not much left to be stated by Rihanna that can change what most people already think of him. He says he accepts responsibility, yet he's unwilling to take the heat for it. That's the consequence you have to pay for abuse, so suck it up, and let her heal the best way she knows how… by educating others of the reality that is domestic violence, in hopes of preventing the same thing from happening to another.

Like she said, you deal with a "host of emotions" after abuse of that nature. Saying something right away would have been rash and unwise on her part, especially when the lawsuit was still pending.
Consider the months of healing it takes afterward to feel normal enough to lead your past life again. When you think about the timing of everything… a new album being released… her speaking on the topic. She's healthier now and in a better state of mind, beginning to feel like a close replication of her "old self" once again, although it's obvious some things are forever changed. It makes sense she's returning to music around the same time as she shares her side of the story.
I exited my abusive relationship a couple months before her incident with Chris. I needed around six months to regroup, to feel sane again. I can't fathom what that must have been like for her, since I am not a celebrity, nor am I constantly scrutinized under the microscopic lens. It's obvious from last night she's moved on from the denial and self-hate phase of the healing cycle. I applaud her for her strength; it's not easy to share ANY story like that, especially when you're revealing your own vulnerability. It's obvious she's trying to return to a normal life, make her peace, and let the past become what it is — the past.
If you studied up on domestic violence, you'd be aware that she didn't break her silence until now because she still loved Chris - in spite of the monster inside of him - and wanted to reunite with him. This is typical behavior of victims of violence. The fact that they publicized her interview with Diane Sawyer at the same time her album made its debut is inconsequential.

I didn't even know who he was the first time I saw him on the MTV awards but thought he was so talented and was so impressed. I was impressed with everything about him. I would normally think he is a thug and forget him but now after watching her on TV and him on TV I have a different opinion. They had a tumultuous relationship. Too young, too fast and no one to say no. They both came from abusive relationships and should have been aware. It is sad that Riri didn't leave when he was verbally abusive, which you know happened before he hit and bit her. Violence is never the answer - but why don't you tell that to the millions of adults who commit violence against or in front of their children - and create future abusers. Chris Brown is just one of many who has "re-interpreted" what he witnessed as a child. So we should lock him up & throw away the key - there is no hope for him? Wake up, don't complain unless you have a solution.
Re: Genghis Khan – The main attribute of a real man is that he NEVER forgets that he is usually physically stronger and he NEVER retaliates no matter how beligerant the woman may be. He simply leaves the situation and waits for the emotions to subside. Any man who ever forgets that is not worthy of being called a man,and should start looking for an animal to mate with,preferably one that is heavier than he is.
