There is no reason to let this bitch ruin legitimate theater any more than she has destroyed music and television.

It's just not right!

It's being reported that Ashlee Simpson will be reprising the role of Roxy on Broadway's version of Chicago.

No word yet when she will be making said Broadway debut, but it should last a maximum of 3 months.

We actually saw her in Chicago in London and she was pretty good! Surprisingly.

I thought Cheryl Burke was in the running too. Cheryl has some curves and she sure can dance. I read somewhere that she could sing too.
Guess Ashlee beat her out of the role. I live in Ohio and have never been to a broadway show so I guess it really doesn't matter to me. I would like to say that I hope the show has a good run to help the economy for NY and so the cast can have a job.

Has this article been written by two different people? The first half tirades that she shouldn't be allowed on broadway, the second half says that she was good last time she did the part. Or are you just trying to say that she could be in the west end, the primary home of musical theatre in the world for the last 50 years thanks to Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh, elton john et al, but not broadway?

I was in London when she was performing there and I was in the tube holding a program for Les Mis, which I had just seen. This British couple came up to me and started gushing about how good Les Mis was. Then they go, "We just saw Chicago…" and kind of made a face.

I go, "Isn't Ashlee Simpson in that one?"
They go, "Yeah, who is she? Isn't she American?"
I respond, "Yes, she's a singer in America, but she isn't very good…"
