Why do celebrities dooo this? You cannot just switch around careers. You are either born with a talent to perform (on stage) or not. Or you have the talent to design (ahem lyndsay, lauren conrad) or you don't. If she can sing, great but so can a billion other people. There's nothing that sets her apart from the rest.

That was shit, ontop of massive dog shit, i'm very disappointed, considering she ACTUALLY knows how to sing, i've heard early works of hers and she can rock it, has a great voice, but man, she sounds manly during the verses, and the choruses she uses so much effect on her voice its pathetic. Funny thing is, i'm not even a robin Thicke fan, but I think hes the only shining part in the song, has great flow in the verses. anyway, this blows.

Robin Thicke's vocals were terrific. She can sing, too, but they have her writhing around like she's in heat so much who would notice her vocals. She's already beautiful enough that she doesn't have to 'sell' it, so a little dignity might serve to highlight the pipes. I'll bet the director was a man.

The production on this song far outweighs the other aspects of it. The lyrics are a horrible mixture of overused pop music phrases (like "key to your heart"), lazy rhyming, and vagueness. I also think that Leighton should have avoided using primarily pitched speaking on her first single from her album. Because everyone who is remotely famous is now able to make an album if they want to, Leighton needs to really make an effort to show that she's not just jumping on the bandwagon and actually deserves to have a record deal. The song is listenable as background music, but I think solo female artists are going to have to do a better job of coming out with guns blazing if they are going to try to follow on the heels of the recent break-through female acts of Lady Gaga, Leona Lewis, and Amy Winehouse.
