Perez…come on!!! You usually have a honed sense of what is good vs. bad when it comes to music. Katy always looks ravishing, but with this performance, that's where it STOPS. First of all, a hi-hat and upright bass do not a good jazz arrangement make. The arrangement and failed attempt to vocally phrase this song in a "jazzy way" is just not flying with me. And she is PITCHY like WHOOOOAAAA. Sorry to be a hater on this particular jam, but I'm a jazz singer, and if that were my calibur of performance…heck…I'd walk out on myself.
i dig the girls looks and all that, but listen to ELLA FITZGERALD,BILLIE HOLIDAY, SARAH VAUGHAN,DINAH WASHINGTON,CARMEN MCRAE etc. and then tell me Katy Perry is a jazz singer.She has a long way to go if that is her ambition.Perez, shame on you for putting so much preasure on that young flower…Perez don`t know scheiße about Jazz but he`ll talk all that jazz anyways…

I think it sucks… this song was popular last year, time to work on a new song Katy… no matter which medley you sing it in, its still played out and the only song that made you famous. I don't know why you are still popular, you had one huge hit for all the teens out there… and now? nothing new.

I saw a video of Katy Perry performing before she got famous and she sounded good but now she does that weird thing with her voice. I was a fan of hers but slowly losing interest in these girls that sound great on the radio but aren't good live performers. It really is more about the marketing,clothes,makeup,getting attention and being pretty than the actual music…it's their last concern….even Taylor Swift is selling out.

I LOVE Katy. Huge fan of hers and usually her live performances but I sadly have to agree with others. This version is actually borderline terrible.
She's beautiful call her anything but not ugly, and her singing was done moderately well here.

I disagree with all the naysayers…Katie can sing and she has her very own original style, that is a thing that is very hard to come by. Maybe she doesn't sound like your favorite singer or has the range people would like to hear but she is Katy Perry and you know it's her when you hear her sing…She is very beautiful too, I am having a hard time accepting that she is with that harry British clown..hahah

Re: Dynamixx – I think you should check your ears by ENT doctor. Katy´s like a ventriloquist's dummy on stage, nothing more. She´s just one of these countless 1-maybe-2-hit-wonders. It´s simply the work of these recording studios, who breathe new life into that vacant shell. Honestly, her live performances are gruesome and let bleed my ears.
