In Sony's desperate attempt to find projects for their alternative content division, the Hot Ticket, they will be releasing a Kenny Chesney concert in 3D.
Golly, color us excited!
Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D will have a limited engagement to begin April 2010, which includes footage shot in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Foxboro, Massachusetts and Indianapolis using 22 3D cameras.
According to Rory Bruer, president of worldwide distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing, "Kenny Chesney is one of the most popular performers in the world, so we thought he was a great choice for a Hot Ticket presentation. (The film) is the perfect way to experience the intensity (of a Chesney concert) even closer than the front row."
But, Kenny likes anything that gives him a little depth!!
"It was an amazing — and at times scary — experience to have cameras that close, in the air, in a blimp … (because) they're everywhere," noted the country singer.

While I can appreciate that a country star is getting something like a 3D concert, I just don't like Kenny. I'm a huge country fan, but I just think he's overplayed and he's never been my favorite.
Now, if they did Carrie or Brad Paisley or Reba or Taylor Swift, that would be kickass and I'd be first in line.
You have to follow country music to appreciate Kenny. His concerts are the best time ever! Saw him at the Garden here in NYC few years ago.
For 3-D, I require a better dressed performer. Give me something worth looking at. Can't bear the thought of seeing a 3D redneck armpit through torn armholes.
If Gaga had a 3-D concert film being releases your panties would be all soaked.
