Ouch!

It's not getting any better!

100 employees were laid off on Friday at A&E Television Networks after the merger between AETN and Lifetime Entertainment Services.

That's 10 percent of the company's workforce!

Lifetime is joining A&E and the History Channel under the AETN company.

While cuts were made across all divisions, Lifetime was particularly affected with the unscripted head, head of casting and two senior PR executives getting the ax!

Sad, sad.

With the exception of The History Channel, the other two networks (Lifetime and A&E) are responsible for some craptastic T.V. Just an opinion.

It's only going to get worse. Last Monday here in Illinois soooo many people tried to go online to file unemployment that all the servers crashed! Glad I filed last Sunday. The whole country is so far in the crapper I'll probably be unemployed until I retire! Retire from unemployment…hmmm.

I'm sorry for those people but does this mean we will start getting the Lifetime Channel in Canada? I missed that channel since I moved here. We get History and A&E, so this seems like a step in bringing Lifetime to Canada.

It would be great now if Lifetime could move it's franchise into other countries instead of us having to deal with knock off networks getting the shows year later if at all!

I'm just impressed with this attempt at real journalism. Good for you! There's a brain in there somewhere, however small and moveable it may be.
