Eastwick's Loss Could Be Betty's Gain!
With news that Rebecca Romijn's Witches Of Eastwick may soon be canned, plans are in place to use her time slot to another show's advantage.
Ugly Betty, though still a fan favorite, isn't pulling the same kind of numbers on its new slot on Friday night. However, with the move to Wednesday nights at 10, with lead-ins like Modern Family and Cougar Town, the show just might find its mojo again.
Plus, ABC would have a solid block of programming for the first time in a while!
The only issue that remains unresolved is where to slate the final hours of Lost when it returns in the new year. It's possible to move it to another night other than Wednesday, but will they really do that to the show in its final season?
Ah, screw it. People will watch the stupid show even if it is on at 2 a.m.
We say forget about the damn island and focus on rescuing Betty.
Hey, maybe they could get Rebecca Romijn to come back to the show. She'll be unemployed!

The show is titled Eastwick as you mentioned in the lead and not Witches of Eastwick as you mention in the post moron.

I agree, I'd watch Lost at anytime.. but to call it stupid??? and to suggest forgetting about the damn island??? That hurts, Perez. You're missing out on the most amazing sci-fi/drama EVER.

I hope ABC people are reading this… I would LOVE the idea of Ugly Betty on wednesdays. It would be refreshing to see something good on what seems to be a lackluster wednesdays. Especially after Glee! LOL. And Modern family/Cougartown of course! DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!

I HOPE they move UB to the 10 pm time slot. I love that show but am never home Friday night to watch it. Lucky for me I have rogers on demand and can watch it any time

I hope they don't cancel Eastwick.. it's so well written! I love it. How can a show like Charmed (which I admit to watching at times) that is campy.. stay on for over 8 years, and Eastwick can't make it past it's first season???
HA so it is moving to Wednesdays I thought the network wanted to get rid of it after all Fridays is where sitcoms go to die…unless your in the 1990's and ABC's TGIF, but thats the only exception. Good to see they are moving it, besides can they get accurate ratings with everyone in the main target group watching shows online?

Betty is a great show, one of the few I watch and its good its being moved to a better night, Friday is just not that good - but 10 p.m. after Cougartown is not good because I think a lot of kids watch the show -and will be in bed by then, 8 p.m. was a perfect time for it
My parents love this show. My dad is 56 and my mom is 69! I can't make a peep when it is on. I've watched it with them and I love it also but I do tend to watch something else because I do have a 42 inch flat screen that keeps me busy. My poor parents would be so upset if this show was taken off the air. I have not seen them sit together and watch TV like this in a long time! They even make popcorn to watch! LOL
I believe Lost is on at 9pm anyway, so this doesn't really matter. Cougar Town and Modern Family will be the ones to go at that time, not the show on at 10pm.
I like this show… I knew it would be cancelled because its different and its not a shoot em up or a reality piece of crap.. AMERICAN tv is so LAME!
They CANNOT CANCEL EASTWICK!!! It's so different than anything else on right now. What they need to do is promote the damn show; I only found it because I happened to stumble across it! I absolutely LOVE it and Ugly Betty can screw off, they've had their run. ABC, give Eastwick a chance! We don't need another fashion centralized tv show-I watch enough of those and I need something different LIKE EASTWICK!!! Please promote the show and dont cancel Eastwick!!
