Joss Stone Sparks Drug Controversy In The UK
Joss Stone opened her big dumb mouth again about her marijuana usage and now she has the National Drugs Prevention Alliance up in arms!
In a new interview, she didn't hold anything back about how often she smokes weed and whether or not she's into other drugs.
Here are some HIGHlights:
On her marijuana habit:
"I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really a drug. It’s more of a herb. I don’t regret saying that at all. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying! It depends if I’m working, and on what song. And whether it’s a smoking studio or not! It’s like having a drink."On weed's "evil stamp":
"Weed has been given this evil stamp, but how is it dangerous? It’s going to make you laugh your arse off? You might go to sleep? I think alcohol is much more harmful. People beat the f*ck out of each other on alcohol. But I don’t smoke weed all day long."On other drugs:
"I live in Devon and hardly ever go to clubs. When I do, I’ll drink three or four beers then move on to a vodka. I don’t want to take all those horrible drugs. Although some sound fun, so I might dabble now and then!"
Naturally these comments have upset anti-drug campaigners in Britain and David Raynes, head of the National Drugs Prevention Alliance, says of Joss:
"She should consider the effects that her comments have on other people, especially young fans who look up to her. People like Joss Stone should keep their mouths shut about things like this."
We think she should keep her mouth shut about everything!

I thought reaading the comments for this would involve a lot of ignorance, but I see that people actually know how to think for themselves. marihuana is one of the mildest drugs you could ever use, alchohol is much worse. I laugh in the faces of those who while holding a beer in their hands tell me that marihuana is something they NEVER would do, because that's DRUGS! Educate thyself.

1) No, weed is not harmless but it is much less harmful than many other "legal" activities, including skydiving. The main thing harmful is the actual smoking part, there are other ways like a vaporizer and if it were legal many other safer ways of "delivery" would be developed.
2) To those with horror stories of how weed ruined peoples lives, um, maybe they would have fucked up their lives even without weed. There are many people fucking everything of all on their own, quit using weed as an excuse for their own short comings.
3) Anything can be abused, smoking weed daily is abuse, but many of us can enjoy it in moderation and it isn't hurting anybody.
I'll stop at 3, just because it is the magic number.

Can't say I'm at all surprised, Joss Stone is a bit of a twat. We all know this. Anyone who would be influenced by anything she has to say is a lost cause anyway. Anyhoos what is Stoner promoting because everytime I turn on the T.V she is there! Make it go away.
I totally agree and I think it takes an ignorant person to just shut her down. It's hard for people who smoke weed to gain any reputable credit due to the exact "evil stamp" she mentioned.
And… if the US would just open their eyes and help regulate marijuana usage instead of trying to stamp it out (which will never happen) then we might not be in such a deficit and a we wouldn't have to worry about "the kids" when mentioning marijuana.

Not harmless, not an "herb", but a mind altering and paralytic narcotic drug, even if you just call it weed and say it's benign. But unfortunately younger people are obviously too young to have seen the long term effects, which involve a particularly unfortunate paralysis of certain critical regions at the center of the brain. The only thing to do is stop using it and let the brain heal itself.
