Rihanna Truly Is Glamorous
Last night Rihanna made a public appearance in New York as she accepted the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards.
And after a touching video showing clips of RiRi's career and volunteer efforts, she took to the stage to accept her award.
RiRi looked gorgeous in an ivory Stephane Rolland gown as she joked, "As usual, I decided to wear the tightest dress I could find."
She added:
"It was a real honor to be named Glamour's Woman of the Year, especially because I think of myself as just becoming a woman. I just turned 21 this year. Just to be mentioned in this group of women is overwhelming. I love being a part of a night where we're celebrating women and such strong women."
RiRi went on to thank several people, including her record label, Jay-Z, and of course her mother and grandmother, to which she said:
"They are my two women of the year. I love you very much, Granny. I love you very much, mom. They've shown me what strong women can accomplish and achieve. Without their unconditional love and guidance, I wouldn't be here, and I hope I can be an example for young girls and women today. Thank you so much."

Sickening. Woman of the year wouldn't have ever taken Chris Brown back - even for a second. She may have eventually realized doing this was a horrible example to young women but she did. Can't change the facts.

It's an award for 'Glamour Woman of the Year', and she is ALL of that.
She certainly does deserve it. She is the embodiment of Glamour. Aside from being a current definition of glamourous, this very young lady has worked her butt off, is a consummate professional at what she does; and has represented her country of Barbados in top style. She has stumbled, but does not fall. Congrats.

1. perez get ur big head out of rhianna's ass. i can not understand why u freak over this girl. i thought u really liked ppl with talent. i don't hate rhianna. but i dislike her. she is a below average singer, dancer, boring on stage. everything is written and produced by others and passed on to her.
2. she had AMPLE time to come out with an interview about her ordeal. but chose to only when it was beneficial to her. that proves very much that she is not thinking about other women or being a good role model. furthermore, for someone who says, "she wanted to come out when she wanted too." further proof that illustrates rhianna was not affected by the chris brown incident and could care less is, after it happened, she began parading around in short outfits, pasties on her breasts, silly hairstyles. it was an attitude of look at me. i thought a victim of violence/attack/abuse would be away from the limelight for a considerable amount of time and being counselled.
i think it affected her for that night. but she LOVED the fame and attention she got from it. she was not hurting emotionally or physically.
she does NOT deserve this award.
