Are the Housewives really worth all of this fuss?
Bravo and Sprint are partnering up in a big marketing campaign for the 5th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Sprint will be advertised each week in tagged tune-in spots and billboards and they are also exclusively sponsoring the weekly online webisode series "A Day In The Life" which will follow each of the housewives during "a typical day."
Sprint is also running the Real Housewives Mobile Fan Club that fans can sign up for to receive behind-the-scenes trivia, fun fact messages and other exclusive bonus content.
Do the housewives really have this kind of fan-base?
The Senior VP of Ad Sales for Bravo Media seems to think so:
“Bravo delivers real results for our sponsors and analysis of Nielsen IAG data has shown that brands that reach consumers on multiple platforms produce a greater impact. The Real Housewives franchise is one of the most talked about shows on television today, with a passionate, engaged fan-base that drives ad effectiveness.”

The real estate saleslady is obese now and talks about how she has no money and is on a budget.
The hottie milf blonde (tamra) is crying about how they owe more than their house is worth and her husband picks at every words she says.
Another one gets an eviction notice.
Vickie is just boring and sucks. Gretchen is hot.
They sit at a table and no one there likes each other, so its like watching strangers interact. Its really boring to watch people who dont like each and dont want to talk to each other being thrown into a room and forced to talk.

I am surprised Bravo even has The Orange County wives on…at least 3 of them are republicans and Gretchen and her late fiance/sugar daddy donated tons of money to the republican presidential campaign. She's a "good Christian girl" I'm sure she also gave money to yes on prop 8…..shame on Bravo for having her on the show in the first place.

I used to live in Coto de Caza (where this program is filmed). This show is total bullshit. The saddest part is that they think they are the hottest things on earth. It really is pathetic.

When I first viewed it I thought OMG ! What a freak show ! And, are these people for real? I felt they all lived in a bubble. Couldn't stand Jo. Now, I find my self getting involved in their lives. I would love to see the life and times of pretty er drs or neurosurgeons or pretty ceo's etc
there are many women who settle and will do anything to marry rich and sit on their asses all day
but having to watch them do it, is a complete waste of my time
being premed myself I wonder why theres such a huge demand for these lowlifes on television

This wont go well for the Housewives or Sprint since they're trying to generate buzz for something whose time has come and gone. The Orange County housewives are the least interesting of the bunch. Vicky's still a bitch but she's treating Don a little better. And the rest..meh. They're trying this crap Heroes and I reach for the remote every time I see a close up of that phone with somebody I don't recognize on it.
