Despite all the recent "controversy" surrounding Britney Spears' tour in Australia, Brit Brit has not let it affect her.
Today she performed at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne to a packed crowd.
And, we have to admit, she was looking good and rocking that new wavy/curly hair.
All eyes were on Brit Brit it as she lip-synched performed some of her top hits.

On behalf of an australian- I don't know what the hell people were expecting, Britney's "Circus" is an AMAZING feat of entertainment! Everybody knows that she lipsyncs, how can she be expected to perform almost every night such an incredibly intense show and be singing at the same time? I know others do it- but it's Britney y'all! WE LOVE HER IN AUS, and those causing a fuss about her have got a stick up their ass!!

A friend of mine went to her concert last night and said it was amazing. She's been talking about it all day. And apparently she did sing one song live and looked amazing. ALSO, she gets mosh pit tickets to everything, but when she went to get tickets for this the only available tickets were in THE BACK ROW. Sounds like she's doing alright to me.

The Australian media are a bunch of fucking pricks, they treat overseas celebrities like shit. Adrien Griner (I know I spelt that wrong) turned down a date with some Australian chick, so he's "evil" now. That was, until he started dating an Australian. Moral of the story: The Australian media know fuck-all about anything, which is why I only get information from overseas sources and direct sources.
I like her hair, but that outfit reminds me of Michael Jackson's style.

and by the way, In Melbourne night 1 (technically today but time zones are confusing) Britney did sing at least part of Everytime live. Don't believe me? On youtube, there is this one video, different accounts have put it up, of Everytime. When she goes "I may have made it rain" she sings "yea" after it. If you look at a video of perth's everytime, she did not sing "yea", so obviously, its live. She has also done that before at other concerts. I couldnt tell how much of the performance was live since of the crowd's singing and screaming. Brit does sing live yall! Get it through your heads!

In fact when they first found out she was coming the tickets were sold out in like a week, so Britney decided to have more shows and those are selling just as well. No disrespect to you, I just wanted to let the facts be known.

I went to the concert last night, screamed my heart out sang my heart out and of coruse cried my heart out. She was amazing in melbourne that night. She totally rocked it and looked so gorgeous. Everything was amazing. The lip synching is being controversed about bhing ecause the video she has up is delayed by like a second so it looks like she is rly off but she isn't i was continously watching and comparing. she was AMAZING!!!! the best moment of my life by far!!

Britney looks awesome! I don't get the big deal with all of this Australia controversy. It isn't like Britney is the first performer to not sing live. You know when you go see a Britney show you know what you are getting-entertained. I must say though, the last time we saw her she sang two songs live and she sounded great. She really can sing when she does. I love all types of music and have actually walked out of a rock concert because they were singing to backing tracks. If you are standing there holding a guitar and doing nothing else you should be singing. If you are dancing, doing circus moves from the ceiling and running around everywhere you can't always sing every word.

I saw her show in Melbourne last night and I just wanted to say that she was really great. She was full of energy, her body looked amazing and so did her always smiling face. Her dancing was great (obviously not the same as she was when she was 18 but think about where she's been since then!!!!!) What an amazing come back, I'm sick of people complaining for attention. I hope she comes back to Australia on her next tour, I will definitely go!
Come on, vocally, the girl has no talent. If people are stupid enough to pay that much for an "image" - Go ahead. You're paying for the lights (and now the hair). She can't sing. Hence, the show - vocally she can't cut it - may as well give them lights. She exists because of studio production - she's an image - doesn't hold up live. She's a production, not a talent.

Lets start by getting one thing straight. Rebekah Devlin, who started what quickly developed into Britney-gate this week in Australia, clearly got it very, very wrong. At the Britney Spears show tonight at Rod Laver Arena, there were no mass walk-outs, there were no disgruntled fans and the audience was genuinely entertained.
Just for the record, I am not a Britney fan but ‘Circus’ is a very good show. Forget the “but she mimes” argument. It is irrelevant for Britney. She is a popstar. She has never pretended to be a serious musical act like Radiohead. She is what she is and has never denied it.
Keep in mind at parts of their shows, Cher has lip-synched, Madonna lip-synchs, even Roger Waters did it. So lets just eliminate that from the scorecard and score the Britney show for what it is … a very entertaining show aimed at her core fans.
If you are a Britney fan, you are going to love ‘Circus’. It is over two hours of escapism and yes it is a real circus. Actually, if Ms. Devlin focused on the freak show featuring the midget or an amputee on a trampoline she might have been able to beat-up a better story. Did she even notice that? Not that it mattered. It was visually compelling.
Yes, a Circus it truly is, with magicians, acrobats, a tightrope and … was that Perez Hilton dressed up as The Queen?
The costume changes are covered up with musical segways. One featured Marilyn Manson ‘Sweet Dreams’ and another Michael Jackson ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Something’.
Lets give a special shout-out to the two kids in the front row. Britney’s children Sean and Jayden watched what Mom did for a living with Mom’s new beau Jason Trawick . For the record Ms Devlin, Jayden left earlier so your headline tomorrow should read “Even Britney’s Kid Can’t Stand Her”. Sean left before the encore, so you can beat that up into a headline as well.
In Vegas, this show would be up for “show of the year”. In Perth, based on a one-woman jury, it doesn’t rate at all. Melbourne, the home of Australian theatre, accepted another good show.
Britney is more than 90 shows into a world tour with Circus. How funny that Ms Devlin wasted her 15 minutes of fame on something that has never pretended to be anything more than a pop show.

She looks like a Southern beauty pageant contestant…doing lion taming for the "talent" portion of the contest.

Have any of you seen a beyonce show??!! she sings and busts out the moves far better than britney and I was a brtiney fan until i saw her in concert! christina and beyonce have SO MUCH MORE talent, Brit's effort was poor. if you are going to lip sync at least dance your ass off…… she didn't even do that!
Melbourne got screens???!! Perth didn't get that.

I was at this show last night and loved it if your a huge Brit fan who cares if she mimed who didnt know that..the show was soo well put together it didnt matter..

You're paying for her to PERFORM. Just like people pay to go and see dancers. $200 by Australian standards is average pricing for a ticket. And I'm pretty sure that the $200 seats were up front, tickets were less up the back.

Hey! I went to both Perth shows and had an absolute blast at both shows, I paid good money, even VIP for the second night and LOVED IT! And so did everyone around me! Everyone else who is trash talking can eat shit for all I care!
