Dane Cook As The Riddler? Please No!
Nothing is known for the next installment of the Dark Knight franchise, expect that moviegoers everywhere are eager for it to happen.
The biggest question concerning the fans is which villain will Batman square off against and who will take the role. Enthusiasts are throwing names around like Johnny Depp, Eddie Murphy, and Larry David and the strongest rumor circulating the web is that the film will revive The Riddler for the next installment.
The opportunity surely piqued some interest from the last person we would ever want to see take the role - Dane Cook.
In a recent interview, he was asked about the rumored role and what he would do if it were offered to him. He replied:
"If they brought back The Riddler — a new Riddler the way they did with The Joker — that would be badass. I would do that."
Of course you would! You would be a complete fool not to.
But we can think of a hundred better actors more suited to take this than you. Hell, we'd take Jim Carey donning that ridiculous green suit again if it meant keeping you away.

I PRAY that the next villain WON"T be The Riddler. I'd rather have them go back and use Ra's Aghul & Scarecrow for that matter. The Riddler always seemed to me like a second rate verison of The Joker. I truly hope this does not happen regardless of who plays him. Bring on CATWOMAN!

Heath Ledger raised the bar for comic book villains.And don't get me wrong,I love Dane's stand up but like Chris Rock,he doesn't do well on the big screen.

At the end of the day all unnecessary pleas as Christopher Nolan will never let one of the worst reviewed "actors" in movie history to take part in his movie, including even letting him work at the craft services table.

A little reminder:: There was HUGE controversey and a ton of pissed fans when Heath Ledger was casted as The Joker of the dark knight– and must I remind you how exceptional he was, and how his perormance is what pushed that movie to the top?..
So, I hope whoever is casted as the next villion sparks more controversy. I hope it comes out of left field. I hope no one sees it coming I hope people are pissed and confused… Because THOSE decisions are what turn out to be the best.

Dane Cook is a horrid comedian and even worse actor. I refuse to see any Batman movie with him in it no matter how much of a fan I am. I hope The Riddler isn't the next villian, I always felt like he was trying to copy the Joker. Bring on Catwoman or the Penguin or Mr. Freeze or well anyone as long as Dane Cook isn't given the role. Hopefully Chris Nolan has better taste than that and won't let him within 200 feet of the movie set. BTW does anyone think that the Boy Wonder will make an apparence?

The Riddler as the next villain would be a great installment. But, rather than Dane, I'd rather see Ryan Reynolds play the part.
I actually think Dane Cook is a really good actor in serious roles. He was scary good in Mr. Brooks which was an awesome movie. I don't like his comedy or his comedic acting really.

Third….Christopher Nolan is the most talented, gifted and intelligent director out there. He doesn't cast overactors, emoters, or fame whores. He casts talented viable dedicated and intelligent actors.
Therefore….no one who has ever been mentioned is worthy or ever going to have even a chance of being considered. So if it is crap acting/actors you want, well…go rent the shumaker movies or transformers or anything nic cage has ever been in.
besides…Nolan tends to cast british actors, unless you are someone really special like Freeman, Ledger, Eckhart, etc.

I love Johnny Depp, but we don't have to put him in everything. Dane Cook, no. That would only work if the Riddler was ridiculous like the Carey version. The idea of Eddie Murphy is kind of interesting though. Especially if he was being totally psychotic. But I don't think they'd do it b/c he's kinda ridiculous too. Hmmm….

I think he would be great in a role like that, I think he has a real darkness to him that could make it interesting. Plus he's hot.

I think Dane is freakin funny, especically in person! I was just at his concert at Madison Square Garden and I laughed my butt off for 2 hours. Maybe the Riddler isn't what people want to see him in, but he's a talented guy. Personally, I would watch anything that Dane is in - so stop hating on him!
