George Carlin's Last Words
As we told you earlier this year, Last Words, a book detailing the life story of the late George Carlin, is being released this month.
Up until his death in 2008, Tony Hendra one of the original editors of National Lampoon magazine had been helping the comedian write his autobiography, but once he passed, Hendra approached Carlin's family to release the book, which is based on house of taped interviews, drafts, and chapters from his final sessions with George.
Carlin's daughter, Kelly, said she would love her father's take on the world today and "will be wishing we had that take for the next few decades."
So do many other people.
Will U be reading Last Words???

no
Probably not.
YES! YES! YES!
Yup! I love George Carlin. I grew up listening to his albums.
He is definitely missed.
He was an atheist. I bet he knows now that there is a God. Too late for him.
i've loved george carlin since for fuckin ever. he was hilarious all the way to the end. missed!
of course I will read it. I can't wait for it. Saw him a few times live and he will always be one of the greats.
Re: Kellergirl –
Oh please.
I cannot WAIT to read it.
I would love to read it. George Carlin was amazingly smart and observant. He was an asshole, but he was an interesting asshole!
If you aren't familiar with Tony Hendra, you should read his book "Father Joe". It's sweet, heartwarming and often hilarious. He's also in "Spinal Tap" aka the best comedy of all time. Ever.
He's a fantastic writer, Mr. Carlin was a one of a kind talent, and I'm definitely interested in reading this one.
I wonder if he got the "2-minute warning"?
RIP George
Re: mandylove –
To call him an asshole is to mis-interpret where he comes from. He was a guy from Harlem, part of the last true and great generation to come out of NYC when 'NEW YORK was NEW YORK'. Period. New York City is now a mosoleum or a dormitory for all kinds of spoiled rotten trust funders and tourists. It is DEAD. (winks)
Ahhhh Good Old George - We Miss You!
RIP!
Yes I will. I read his other books and he is a comic genius who is sorely missed.
can't wait..
