Merger!
Filed under: Media Minute > Business BlitzComcast and General Electric are close to merging in an NBC Universal venture which would still have Jeff Zucker as the head.
Comcast would have a 51 percent stake in NBC Universal and it would then house all of their cable networks, including E! and the Style Network. GE would own the remaining 49 percent.
Zucker is holding on to his job - we'll have to see who else makes the cut!

Comcast will soon see why NBC is losing ratings…..keeping zucker and other top execs are a mistake….guess they don't want to make a profit.
whoa! im glad im not following perezs tweets…is that a sample of it above?
this is scary. Im always worried when Media companies merge because it puts more power into the hands of the few. The Media conglomerate is horrifying…
It is Re: FemaleFilmMajor – It is horrifying. This is going to affect more than people want to believe — including their internet habits, watching TV online, even their basic expressive freedoms. Comcast is against Net Neutrality — pass it on and bust their monopoly!
Woah!!!! thats huge!
Where were you last week when this was actually late-breaking news?
