NBC Making Changes to Jay Leno Show
We think that the best part of all this is that deep down, we don't think Jay Leno could care less if this show rises or falls. Good thing, because it is falling FAST!
In an effort to save their dignity, the execs at NBC are attempting to reformat Jay's late night talker to improve it's ratings. Actually, what they are doing is returning to the original format of The Tonight Show, hoping that will bring back viewers.
For example, staple comedy bits like Jay Walking and Headlines were bumped to the end of the show in an effort to lead in the local news. Since that isn't doing Jay any good, they are reverting back to having the bits at the beginning of the show, right after the monologue.
Will this save Jay?

I never saw the new Jay show working, wrong time slot. Im kind of amazed anyone at NBC thought it would do well.

The best change they could make to that show is to take it out back and shoot it.
he's overexposed at that hour…needs to be on only one night a week…viewers have more options during prime time…late night only has late night shows…and they are all stale, boring, boarish wasp males…

the only thing that'll help is showing lame-ass Conan the door and giving Jay back that time slot.
Jay was an idiot to leave The tonight show, that was the perfect slot for him ! Now he's fucking up everything and NBC doesn't have the balls to give him the axe

It's a good start, cause the new format was bad. But I was thinking, why not give him a 30 mins show only - like Jon Stewart. I love his jokes.
I love the 10 spot. I never could stay awake until 11:30!
The experiment is over, but NBC did not invest much in new mid-season programming (they had such confidence in Leno) so replacing 5 hours of programming/Leno this season is an impossibility.
NBC already has cancelled Trauma and although some more episodes for Mercy were ordered it is all but certain it will not be back next season.
NBC has a lot of rebuilding ahead, thank god for Sunday night Football and the upcoming olympics.
The show sucks just as bad as it always did.

This guy sucks. He is not funny, original, or clever. How he is successful is beyond me. He is lukewarm mashed potatoes.
Nothing will save Jay. Get him off TV, put some good shows on at 10:00. Conan sucks too.
Time for that moron to spend some well deserved vacation in some island in the Pacific and stay there forever.

Well… I'd still prefer him on at 11:30, but its an improvement. Plus, bring back the desk and keep it traditional.

I love The Jay Leno Show! We need our daily dose of comedy with all of the crazy stuff going in the world. I understand that NBC is still making a lot of money with his show. Keep up the good work, Jay!
