Oprah And Omaha Settle Lawsuit

| Filed under: Paris HiltonLegal MattersOprah WinfreyRachel Zoe

Mutual of Omaha has withdrawn their lawsuit to gain the right to use the phrase "aha! moment" in one of their advertising campaigns as they have settled with Oprah's media company, Harpo, for undisclosed terms.

Harpo objected to Mutual of Omaha's recent tagline of "proud sponsor of life's aha moments" because it's a phrase that they believed was associated with Oprah by the public since she uses it often on the show.

They must have settled amicably because Mutual of Omaha is still using the tagline in question on their website.

To be honest, that phrase is older than both of them, but people can get finicky about their trademarks.

"Bananas" and "that's hot" anyone?

Looks like one big dump coming!!!!

Miss Oprah is so afraid of anyone finding out she is a LESBIAN, that if you work for her in ANY capacity (whether a Janitor all the way up to a CEO) you MUST sign a lifetime contract to NEVER discuss the goings on in the company or her life. The IDIOTS that actually sign the contract (a friend of mine works on her magazine )must also keep their mouth shut after they leave her employ. It is a lifetime contract!!!

"Aha! Moment", really? She's fighting over THAT? It's a stupid phrase to begin with.

…no thanks to 'bananas,' 'that's hot,' and please add 'amazeballs' to my list. Thank you in advance.

    Everything is about money!

Maybe they've never seen her show. Also: I love Rachael Zoe's use of the word bananas.

Re: karencarpenter – and 'ferosh' too.

Re: bigray – …Karen Carpenter's husband had to sign one of those also andalso was supposedly paid some good cash to keep quiet. Ooprah would do the world a service, if she is a lesbian, to be true to herself and not live in secrecy. That is my opinion, of course.

My Perezcious has recently applied for a patent of intellectual property for "lingam" and "yoni" and will continue to promote the use of these wonderful words on his website.

"if" she is a LESBIAN???? Shes is and ALWAYS has been one. Not there is anything wrong with that, but to go on national TV and LIE that she is not a lesbian is truly sad!!!

I think it's stupid to try and copyright a word for yourself. What happened to freedom of speech?? So Oprah said Aha moment! Now no one can say it even though it was said before she said it?? Again, DUMB! Cannot stress that enough!

And, then, there are those of us who don't watch Oprah, and wouldn't have known that she had an all encompassing claim to the ejaculation 'aha!'. Let alone any moments of them.
