A source is revealing that Rachel McAdams is being considered for the role of the new villainess in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. Rachel will be playing the Black Cat, a dangerous foe to Spider-man, while also being a love interest for Peter Parker.
Oh, what a tangled web they've weaved, huh?
An insider on the project reveals: "She falls in love with Peter Parker, and uncovers his true identity. Her father then dies, and Hardy becomes a threat to Peter Parker."
Rachel is sure getting her fill of franchises these days. Plus, she might actually be the only thing that saves this movie from being a total waste.

Cool news about" the Black Cat"(One the best drawn comic book bad girls)but it sounds like they are going to f things up again.In the series she loves Spiderman but is totaly bummed out by mild mannered Peter Parker.None of the comics to movies stay true to the books.

It's a dud already. The fact that they have decided on this dull, secondary Spidey villian had already doomed this poor project. The "Black Cat" was a second rate character and some would say a rip-off and Marvel's answer to D.C. Comic's "Catwoman", which is a better written character. I am so dissapointed. They shoudlv'e gone with either "Electro" or "The Lizard". PERIOD!. THis movie will suck!!

I had hopes for Spidey 4, untill I heard the Black Cat was in it! It reminds me too much of Catwoman! The villains in Spiderman 4 should be The Lizard and Morbius! Those two villains would fit nicely with the Neogenic Nightmare storyline! But if the Black Cat must be in it, then there better be a second villain!
Just get rid of Dunst and use Rachel McAdams for Mary Jane.

As for being cheap labor - you need to seriously rethink that. Donald Sutherland, Dan Akroyd, Howie Mandell, Jim Carey, Keanu Reeves, Kim Catrell, Matthew Perry, Michael J Fox, Mike Myers, William Shatner just to name a few are some of the richest actors in the world who have starred in and produced many of the top TV shows and movies ever in history. Perhaps you don't get cable in your trailer park…if you did you would know this.
The fact that Rachel is Canadian has nothing to do with her pay check! She is paid according to Hollywood standards and probably deserves alot more than some other actresses. Rachel is one of the few these days who actually has talent.

I love her!! I think she's an amazing actress and she was brilliant in The Notebook. I love how she isn't all about the fame. She's hardly ever in magazines and I think she lives in Canada…or spends most her time there. But Ryan Goslings WAY hotter than who ever plays Peter Parker.
