Swine Flu Takes Down T-Boz!
The latest celeb to be struck down by the infamous swine flu???
Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, formerly of TLC!
T-Boz has already had her fair share of medical problems: the R&B singer was diagnosed with sickle-cell anemia as a child as well as undergoing brain surgery in 2007 due to a benign tumor growing on her brain.
"My daughter and I had sore throats that lasted about three days, so we went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist," Watkins explained to reporters.
She continued: "After examining us, he told me my daughter had the flu - and I had swine flu… I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mom… I had to stay in the house and away from everyone."
But the H1N1 virus became more severe!
"It hit me really hard," said T-Boz. "…I had a bad cough, and my ear was infected too. I got up to go to the bathroom and became winded."
Watkins called her doctor immediately, who urged the singer to check herself into the hospital. The docs wrote T-Boz a prescription and gave her some fluids, and 12 days later, she was back in tip top shape.

H1N1 isn't exactly big news anymore. Honestly, if you get the flu right now, chances are it's the H1N1 virus. Some people get it worse then others. It sucks that people are dying, but at the same time, millions of people die from the seasonal flu every year, compared to the hundreds or thousands that have succumbed to this virus.
I got my vaccine, and I am planning on getting the seasonal vaccine as well, have you gotten yours ;o)

Hey, anybody know if sickle-cell anemia is considered to be a "pre-existing condition" under Obamacare that would require a 6-month waiting period to be seen by a doctor?

I really feel for T-Boz she has a very hard couple of years. First she marries some loser West Coast rapper who was violent with her and doesn't pay child support cuz he's broke. Then she had to file for bankruptcy last year and in the middle of all this had a severe brain tumor that left her without being able to stand properly vertigo they call it. So basically with vertigo she can't perform as an artist anymore. It is really sad to see what happened to her, she always seemed like such a nice person.
