The Dr. Oz show premiered in September and has only been picking up steam since then! Averaging 3.5 million viewers, Dr. Mehmet Oz is poised to surpass Dr. Phil in viewers as he's only 200,000 behind right now.
Industry expert Brad Adgate says:
"Dr. Oz has momentum, it's new and there is some fatigue factor with Dr. Phil. And Mehmet Oz has become a household name in the same way as Dr. Phil. For a show like Oz to crack the top 10 in its first year is extraordinary."

i like dr. oz–he's smart & getting a lot of impt. info out to viewers. "dr." phil — i've never been a fan and i'm sure his rating are low because people have enough problems in their own lives…why do i want to turn on tv and watch a family crying and fighting?

Dr. Phil should go crawl back in the hole he came out of…taking his wife with him. He is a crock. Big nosed, big headed asshole. Dr. Oz is right on the numbers. He is an honest, family man with lots of medical knowledge. Dr. Phil is in it for the money. Go home and suck eggs.

I liked Dr. Phil until he started that Dr. Phil House where the parents yell, fight and swear in front of the kids… social work at its best.
I can't picture Oz lasting over 2 years. They are going to run out of topics then start getting too tabloid. There's also way too much filler in that show.

Dr Phil just wants sensation, it's disgusting. The more people who cry in his show, the better. The more people calling each others names, the better. He only says a few words in his show, it's all about the people fighting, crying, etc. It's really obnoxious to watch. He is a doctor but he lacks reason.
For the few times I saw Dr. Oz, he actually gave advice.
Dr. Oz for sure !! He makes learning about health fun, and his show is very educational. I don't feel like I am sitting through a health lecture when watching his show, I enjoy it.
Dr. Phil is just an ass ! I never really liked him, maybe in the beginning he was a bit interesting, but then his shows all started to look the same. Probably won't be long and he'll be turning into another Maury or Jerry Springer in order to try and get some ratings back ! Wouldn't that be funny… but seriously, I do really hate Dr. Phil !
I would like to beta Dr. Phil too. DR. Phil is a Friggin' DOUCHEBAG JERK- Oprah's 2nd worst mistake! her No. 1 was showing the horrendously disfigured 'chimp lady' on Veteran's Day.
